This one's mine

Narrated by Abigail Lachance

Tender

The new influx of students has arrived at Suffolk University and Anna Carmody has taken a liking to one of those students in particular. David Moretti certainly seems to have grown up since since Anna last laid eyes on him!

Sparks

Round 17: Days 81-85

Narrated by Kendal Kalson

I'm an amateur astronomer, so I'm usually outside with the telescope at night long after everyone else has gone to bed.

Styrofoam boots

Round 17: Days 81-85

Narrated by Adam Gottlieb

Athena has been wanting a holiday since before we got married, so I finally relented and dragged the whole family to Cape Elizabeth. We stayed right on the beach, in little bungalows. Wade and Joanna discovered that they love sandcastles. By the end of our trip, there were sandcastles in various states of disrepair all up and down the shore.

Space oddity

Of all of us, Mum was the one who had the least amount of opportunity to bond with Rose, so she's been taking every opportunity to do that when she has the time.

Sleeping where I want

Round 17: Days 81-85

Narrated by Abigail Lachance

So the homework has been piling up and I really can't be bothered to do it. At breakfast the other day, I told Dad I was thinking about forgetting college and just going right out and getting a job.

Smothered in hugs

Round 17: Days 81-85

Narrated by Leo Royce

Kit has used up all of the maternity leave she was entitled to after having Asha, so she's back to work soon and we'll have to hire the nanny again. Things are still pretty tight for us financially and we can't really afford a nanny but we definitely can't afford to live on just my income.

Pitseleh

Round 17: Days 81-85

Narrated by Ben Nihill

One of the reasons that Caterina and I moved our family back to Sullivan was to be closer to our families, including my sister Collette. So after all that, the only time I've seen Collette since we came back was when Caterina yelled at her for stealing our paper the other morning. My sister's a little strange sometimes.

Search and destroy

Round 17: Days 81-85

Narrated by Drusilla Clarke

I've had just about enough of this. Having Debbie and Linnea fighting all the time is so damaging for Cordy and Luc. I have to try something to help them for the sake of my grandchildren. I thought being in a new house would give us all a fresh start but I don't think much has changed.

Reservations

Narrated by Naomi Novak (this one is quite long)

I've got to say, Grandma is a much better babysitter than I was. Eliot doesn't get away with anything! Grandma is retired now, so she watches Eliot whenever he's not in school.

Lia is finally talking! It took some work but once she said one word, she was off! She chatters away like crazy now.

One last time

Round 17: Days 81-85

Narrated by Zelda Benton

Tate and I are married! I'd had my dress for ages, so all we really needed to do was choose a venue. We held the wedding at a park in Sullivan that's set up especially for these kinds of events. It was a beautiful ceremony.

No room to bleed

Narrated by Madelyn Nihill

I'm sure my parents are sick of seeing me and James all over each other every time they enter the living room.

Sunday, 24 May 2009

Narcolepsy

Narrated by Emil Collins

I can't believe I've been reduced to this. Digging holes in the ground looking for random crap I can sell, just so I can afford the first week's rent and security deposit for an apartment. When did my life start to suck so much?

My daydream

Round 17: Days 81-85

Narrated by Araminta Romilly

On a whim, Henry bought a lottery ticket and ended up winning $1000! We really need that cash so we put most of it into our mortgage. We had a little left over so we decided to treat ourselves to a night out at Orchard.

A month today

Narrated by Kirstin Sitko

Dad hasn't been able to find a replacement for Araminta yet, so I've been filling in when I can. I'm very fit and strong and that really helps with waitressing.

Mix up the satellites

Narrated by Betsy Carmody

Ugh! I just arrived home from college, sneaking in through the back door because I wanted to surprise Mum and instead, she and Dad surprised me! Ugh, ugh, ugh!

Made in the shade

Narrated by Tatiana Moretti

See that grin? I just found out I qualified for the last scholarship I need to enrol at Suffolk. I could try for more and get cheaper tuition but a) my mum can well afford it and b) I'm not a total brain. My main reason for wanting to go is Jonas. It was bad enough when we were at school and he lived all the way in Exeter.

Lurgee

Round 17: Days 81-85

Narrated by Megan Kirby

Our honeymoon had been planned for ages and I was initially really excited about it. Trent's mum and dad own a cabin in Three Lakes, so accommodation was taken care of. Right before we left though, I found out the reason I had been so nauseous lately was because I was pregnant. Being out in the wilderness with morning sickness was the last thing I wanted to do.
