As soon as I found out there was a newspaper here, I decided I had to write for it. So perfect for a journalism major like me! I’ve spent most of my spare time since then putting together some writing samples to submit to them.
Moving into the dorms together has meant Bianca and I are now sharing a room again. It’s been several years since we’ve done that, so that’s been different.
Rebecca is due to hit Week 40 in February but as is often the case with twins, the Collins babies had other ideas. At 37 weeks, Rebecca and her husband Nathan head to the hospital, because those babies are ready!
Phoebe started piano lessons this year, so we now have a grand piano taking up space in the living room. I'm happy Phoebe has picked up something creative - we’re an artsy kind of family - but it seems a bit much.
My career has been going very well and honestly, with the money I was making, it didn’t make much sense for me and Miles to stay in our tiny house in Sullivan. So we bought a new place!
The pottery store is closed at the moment, in preparation to move, so Mum is taking the opportunity to replenish the stock. She wants to make sure there are plenty of pieces to put back on the shelves when she reopens.
I mostly enjoyed my years of teaching but now that I’m working in natural science, I feel much more at home. Teaching is much more social and being sociable has never been a strength of mine.
Adrienne didn’t do any partying to ring in the new year, which was probably a good move. Her water breaks on New Year’s morning and she and Amar rush to the hospital.
We moved into this house a few months before Will and Levi were born and it was just in time. We could have made it work in our old place, seeing the spare bedroom was definitely big enough for two cribs but it's better here.
I chose my sister Alice to be my flower girl and she was so excited on the big day. Getting a new dress, having her hair done and being allowed a slick of clear lip gloss was all so thrilling for her.
