Athena has been wanting a holiday since before we got married, so I finally relented and dragged the whole family to Cape Elizabeth. We stayed right on the beach, in little bungalows. Wade and Joanna discovered that they love sandcastles. By the end of our trip, there were sandcastles in various states of disrepair all up and down the shore.

One family who was not at all bothered by Exeter's makeover was the Drapers. Elias and Nathalie had already been planning to move and purchased a little house not far from the first one they bought right after they graduated college.

After they'd moved all their furniture in exactly as they wanted it, none of them wanted to do anything but relax. Poor Elias was due at work in 3 hours but he planned on taking advantage of his free time until then.

Elias is thrilled with how well his business is doing. The shop is at Level 3 now and gets a good mix of regular customers and newcomers every day.

Nathalie is happy for her husband but wishes he was home a little bit more. She really has her hands full with Ottilie and Leo.

They're both lovely, sweet kids, really.

But when they start tormenting each other, Nathalie feels like she could go crazy with all the giggling, squealing and screaming.

It's a pretty small apartment and that compounds the problem. The four of them can't even eat dinner at the same table at the same time. They're living on top of each other.

The night Nathalie finds a strange, mohawked man smustling in her daughter's bedroom is the last straw. They've saved up over $100,000, more than enough for their own house. Nathalie doesn't want to stay at the apartment complex for any longer.

Notes:

• I didn't realise the Drapers had saved up so much money or that Elias's business was so profitable! I'm going to look around for a nice, affordable, modernish house to put downtown for them and they'll move in next round.
• Elias is also going to hire a manager for his shop. He'll still need to go down there to check everything is running smoothly but at least it won't be so often.

First up this time, Nathalie and Elias get a visit from Isaac and Petra (that's their house in the background - they live just around the corner).


They were hoping to say hello to Nathalie too but pregnancy is really taking it all out of her. She sleeps all day!

It's not long before Nathalie goes into labour. While Elias is at work, unfortunately, so she does it all alone!

Welcome to the world, Ottilie Draper! She's got Mum's skintone and Dad's black hair.

Well, this is handy! Elias is trying to save money for his pottery store so I take this opportunity to have both him and Nathalie wish for wealth. Next rotation, I'm going to have these guys move house and find a nice little shop for Elias.

Oh, come on!

Luckily, Courtney Edwards is not as crappy as she appeared to be at first.

This was something I'd never seen before. Simona was visiting and I guess she was either booing or laughing at Nathalie's painting (I missed exactly what she was doing so I'm not sure). Nathalie got "React to Dislike" in her queue and headed over to the painting and acted very embarrassed.

Yes, and she's pregnant again. No sooner was Ottilie born than they were trying for a baby again.

I've mentioned before that my cop started out kind of crappy and my landlord is a total asshat but I really lucked out with the nanny. She doesn't have negative relationships with any of my parent Sims, is sweet with all the kids and actually does her job pretty well!

Which is a good thing, because they'll be needing her! Baby #2 is on the way!

It's a boy - meet Leo!

Nathalie and Elias are both sure to lavish attention on Ottilie too, so she doesn't feel too left out.

Notes: It took me forever to think up a title for this post! I think I'm going to start naming them after song titles or lyrics - just whatever I'm listening to at the time. So they'll be fairly random from here on in.
