Round 8: College
Because he's Romance/Family, Galen has the simultaneous want and fear of getting engaged to Georgette. He can see more pros to getting engaged than cons, so he asks her despite his fears.
She accepts, of course!
When Stan graduated and married Xanthia, a room opened up in Galen's dorm. That room was filled by the lovely Christa. Galen has taken quite the liking to her (his secondary aspiration is Family but his primary is still Romance, after all) but she's not impressed by him at all.
He sits down next to her in the dining hall and she gets up (without even finishing her meal!) and leaves the room.
He steps up the charm a bit and tries that old stand-by - flowers!
She liked the rose, it seems, because Galen's made a bit of progress.
Christa isn't totally convinced yet though.
Oh, well, Galen is nothing if not persistent.

He always gets the girl in the end.
Unfortunately, focusing on Christa instead of study has meant that Galen has been put on academic probation. Just one semester away from graduating with an art degree, Galen "forgot" to go to his final exam.
Finally though, he buckles down enough to get off probation and move onto his final semester. He passes that with an A+ and graduates with a 3.0 GPA.

Gah, this was such a jam-packed play session! I ended up taking 153 pics and had to weed down from there! So this one is long and it has some slight nudity. Nothing pornographic but it does contain Georgette's bum and possibly a bit of Leontine's nipple. So consider yourself warned!
Georgette, Vivienne and Leontine have headed off to Suffolk University without brother Pascal. Even without his help though, they are able to afford a fully furnished house on campus. It's not decorated quite in the style they want but they can fix that up over the next few years.When you wake up feeling old

Just
Round 8: Days 36-40
First up this time, Nathalie and Elias get a visit from Isaac and Petra (that's their house in the background - they live just around the corner).
They were hoping to say hello to Nathalie too but pregnancy is really taking it all out of her. She sleeps all day!
It's not long before Nathalie goes into labour. While Elias is at work, unfortunately, so she does it all alone!
Welcome to the world, Ottilie Draper! She's got Mum's skintone and Dad's black hair.
Well, this is handy! Elias is trying to save money for his pottery store so I take this opportunity to have both him and Nathalie wish for wealth. Next rotation, I'm going to have these guys move house and find a nice little shop for Elias.
Oh, come on!
Luckily, Courtney Edwards is not as crappy as she appeared to be at first.
This was something I'd never seen before. Simona was visiting and I guess she was either booing or laughing at Nathalie's painting (I missed exactly what she was doing so I'm not sure). Nathalie got "React to Dislike" in her queue and headed over to the painting and acted very embarrassed.
Yes, and she's pregnant again. No sooner was Ottilie born than they were trying for a baby again.
I've mentioned before that my cop started out kind of crappy and my landlord is a total asshat but I really lucked out with the nanny. She doesn't have negative relationships with any of my parent Sims, is sweet with all the kids and actually does her job pretty well!
Which is a good thing, because they'll be needing her! Baby #2 is on the way!

Nathalie and Elias are both sure to lavish attention on Ottilie too, so she doesn't feel too left out.Notes: It took me forever to think up a title for this post! I think I'm going to start naming them after song titles or lyrics - just whatever I'm listening to at the time. So they'll be fairly random from here on in.

Nelson and Gina head for the suburbs
Round 8: Days 36-40
So Nelson and Gina have packed up and headed for the suburbs of Sullivan. They decide to rent an apartment right above Sacha, at Twilight Senior Living Complex.
The move must have given Gina a new lease on life, because for the first time in ages, she gets the want to gain a skill point. She's 2 points away from promotion - she's been a Family Law Attorney for at least two full rotations.
Out in the hallway, Nelson is catching up with his old workmate.
Gina soon joins him and finds she already has a friend at Twilight too.
Gina wasn't sure if she'd like the suburbs much but she loves Twilight. She says her one true hobby is Sports but she's always had a knack for the more artistic pursuits. Twilight just happens to have a fully-equipped art and music room, so she's in her element here.
All the residents love the pool table too. This particular game went on for ages, with Nelson and Gina finally winning. He looks pretty smug about it here.
Sigh. This rotation, Gina got demoted from Family Law Attorney to File Clerk. This was her reaction. Then she earned her way back up a level. Then she got demoted again. She had the same reaction the second time. I don't think Gina will ever "become the Law".
After settling in, Gina invites all the Clarke kids over to see their new place. Xanthia is the first to arrive.
She brings along her husband, Stan. They only met at the wedding, so he doesn't have a very high relationship with either of his in-laws. If he's planning to react to all their attempts at conversation this way, I don't think that will change any time soon.
Drusilla comes for a visit too but doesn't bring Floyd along with her. I can only imagine his attempts at making nice with Drusilla's parents!
Galen came along with his sisters but Gina had to go and chase him down in the hallway to talk to him. He was distracted by the pool table.
This was a bit of a worry. Sacha and Xanthia have a 3 bolt relationship. Xanthia's married but I'm never sure about these crazy family Sims since Sacha.
He's busy with the single ladies of the hood right now anyway.
Oops, too much fried fish! Have you ever seen a Sim look so sad about getting fat?So it's at this point that I decide to check how much time the old folks have left on the Days Left Shrub. Sacha had one day :(
Anyway, I'm not one for the elixir, so I let it happen. I didn't want to lose his grave like I did with my last Sims to die on an apartment lot, so I had to move him onto my testing lot to die. He died very happy (platinum grave!) so we can't feel too sorry for him.Edit: I forgot to say that when Sacha died, his life insurance benefited 18 people!!! I think that's the most I've ever had. So he was just as popular as he seemed.
