Round 18: Days 86-90

Narrated by Drusilla Clarke

Ever since her divorce, Linnea has been talking about getting married again. You'd think divorce would make her a little nervous about another marriage but she's online every day, looking for someone new.

Fortunately, Luc and Cordy seem to be adjusting well to living in a single parent household. All the fighting Linnea and Debbie wasn't healthy for them to witness anyway.

Some of the credit for that has to go to Linnea. She rearranged her work hours recently, so she has two weekdays off so she's home when the twins come home from school.

I still don't get home until after 5pm, so it's then that we all share a family meal.

I've been worried about Debbie since she left, so I call to check up on her every now and then. She's not always thrilled to hear from me.

Debbie does always make sure to spend time with the kids when she can. She took them to an amusement park recently. The axe throwing was a little too physical for them to try but she and Cordy had fun watching.

Luc is a growing boy, so he had fun eating.

Then mother and daughter played some pinball...

...while Luc tried to impress the girls.

I think they were all sorry to say goodbye at the end of the day.

But they did get some nice pictures taken in a photo booth.

The kids hung them above their beds as soon as they got home.

Cordy and Luc's first day of high school was delayed by one day, due to heavy snowfall (which we haven't had much of this winter, until now). Luc, in particular, was delighted at this news.

The kids went to the gym for the day, where Luc spent his time trying to chat up girls.

None of them were particularly impressed by his efforts though.

Cordy has always been a serious athlete though, and she used the gym for its intended purpose.

Cordy has been developing an interest in boys too though. She's very keen on Eliot Novak but I hope nothing happens between them just yet. He's heading to college and he's much too old for her.

I'm hoping she'll keep her focus on her swimming and so far, she is. She was telling her aunt Athena and Ottilie all about it when they visited the other afternoon.

I don't think Luc will be satisfied watching sports on TV for very much longer. He's definitely on the lookout for girls - that's all he talks about. I think Max Nihill might have had somewhat of an influence on him!

Random pic:
Linnea is so classy. Her kids' school bus hasn't even pulled away yet and she's already booty calling the woman who broke up her marriage. She never did get to woohoo her, so I guess she wanted to finish the job!

Notes:
  • Debbie is living in a small apartment in Exeter. You can see some of it in the picture of her on the phone. You probably won't see much more, as it's much too small for Cordy and Luc to come and visit her. So all their outings will be on community lots.
  • This outing was a total pain. I set up a group and Debbie headed down to the lot. Luc showed up but quickly disappeared and Cordy didn't show at all. I had to teleport them in and form a casual group. It's odd because I use the groups function all the time and it usually works great.
  • I think it's interesting that Cordy interacted autonomously with Debbie far more than Luc did. She stuck close to her mother's side the whole time while Luc was off doing his own thing. Cordy was far more upset at Linnea than her brother was, so I guess she's over-compensating. I only just got Cordy and Linnea to be friends again on the last day of play, and their LTR is still only 19.
  • Cordy and Eliot have 2 bolts but I forgot to check their actual score. There will be no romance between them for the time being, because I think Drusilla is right. The age difference is more of a big deal now than it might be next round. We'll see how I feel about it then.

  1. I was definitely curious as to how this family would progress. Glad to see things are going well! Though I do hope Linnea doesn't plan to marry her lover. xD

It's a shame the group thing got all messed up. That's weird.

  2. It's always sad when couples break up, but at least they have joint custody......Linnea better watch out......the grass isn't always greener!

  4. Thanks everyone!

I definitely don't want Linnea to marry Mackenzie either. I have the want locked but I don't know why. Perhaps if she rolls up a specific want to marry someone, I might consider it but right now, it's just a general "Get Joined" want. I'm really not keen on marrying in any more townies.

  5. Linnea seems to just be having some fun. Why get tied down just when her kids are old enough to not need her. XD

The booty call... gotta love it!

  6. She is having fun. In truth, I think Drusilla is more bothered by it than the kids are. Though they haven't been witness to much of it, so maybe they'd change their minds!
