A place called home

Round 10: Days 46-50

Vivienne has graduated from Suffolk University and has moved into her fiancé Joseph's townhouse in her hometown of Sullivan.

When she returned home from college, Vivienne was eager to find employment in her chosen field of journalism. She couldn't find a single position though and took a bit part in a soap opera instead.

Me and you

Round 10: Days 46-50

Xanthia loves all things scientific but is finding there's not much she can do with her hobby in her tiny little townhouse - definitely no space for a telescope! Instead, she stargazes the lo-fi way - on the ground, in her pyjamas.

Wish you well

Lukas and Raffaella have taken in Lukas's younger half-sister, Alexandra, after the recent death of Kristina.
Lukas was happy to invite Alexandra into his home after their mother died but he wished it could have been under happier circumstances. Not only had Alexandra moved in after a tragedy but she was also very sick herself.

You don't know me

Round 10: Days 46-50

Justina was eager to invite her son and daughter, Charlton and Collette, home for lunch this weekend. She headed off to Sullivan Creek to catch some fresh fish for the meal.

She ended up being very successful and caught several fish. She had a great recipe she found online and planned to test it out on Cedric and Ben for dinner.

Not quite as successful - Justina burnt the fish to a crisp.

Saturday afternoon and Charlton has made his entrance. Collette was a little more polite and waited to be invited in first.

Justina's brother Lukas happened to be passing by too and Cedric invited him in. Naturally, the Nihills are all concerned about Alexandra's recent illness. She hasn't been doing very well at all and Lukas could use a break from caring for her.

Ben is blissfully unaware of his aunt's illness. Instead, he besieges Charlton with questions about the campus gym almost as soon as his big brother steps through the door.

Ben and Collette were never as close as the boys were but Ben's pleased to have his big sister back home for a little while anyway.

On the whole, the lunch is a success. Lukas has some time off from the stress at home for a while and Charlton and Collette get a good, home-cooked meal into their bellies. It beats burnt mac and cheese at the dorm cafeteria anyway.

Once everyone leaves, Ben continues doing what he normally does in his spare time - dancing. If he keeps it up, he should be able to get the Tsang Footwork scholarship before he heads off to college.

Which won't be very far away now. Ben's not sure if he even wants to go to college yet but he's doing pretty well on the scholarship front anyway.

Notes:
  • Sigh. I miss Charlton and Collette living at home. I think the rest of the family does too, because they constantly have wants to call them at chat.
  • All Justina ever wants to do is fish (she's only ever fished on vacation), so I finally took her down to the Creek. Now she's driving me nuts with wants to catch a Golden Trout. Argh!

Twinstar

Round 9: College
(Georgette, Vivienne and Leontine)
Next updates: Leontine/Georgette/Vivienne

Vivienne was really eager to graduate in her Junior and Senior years of university. Even her socialising was done with her grades in mind.

Much of Leontine's social life was still being spent fielding phone calls (several times daily) from ex-boyfriend Charlton. Leontine is beginning to worry this would never end. Charlton knows about Brandon, Leontine knows about Aphrodite. There's no reason for them to have to speak as often as this.

First to finish, last to start

Round 9: Days 41-45
The Gottlieb twins Adam and Hanna, appear to get on a little better than Athena and Linnea.

They're always together, joking around or playing.

Isaac and Petra still seem to be in love.

Lately though, he's been spending his days at Be Real Nightclub. For a night time venue, it's pretty busy during the day.

He didn't go there looking for someone like Mackenzie but they seemed to go from initial flirting to full-on making out before Isaac knew what was happening.

Raffaella sees all this happening and stops smustling for ten seconds to go and say hello to Mackenzie and find out what's going on. Isaac's not too keen for Raffaella to know what's going on (she is good friends with Isaac and went to college with his wife, so she knows her quite well too). The second Raff's back is turned, he and Mackenzie sneak out of the club.

Before they know it, they're on Isaac's bed.

When he hears his wife and kids coming home from work and school, Isaac quickly ushers Mackenzie out the back door. Petra is none the wiser.

He feels guilty though and lavishes attention on Petra for the rest of the week.

Notes:
  • Isaac has no idea about any of Petra's affairs. She's very sneaky.
  • Mackenzie actually initiated the flirting. I was surprised that he accepted but then I remembered he was pleasure/romance, so I went with it.

Hoodoo voodoo

Round 9: Days 41-45

Over at the Lane household, Floyd has been left in charge of Athena and Linnea while his girlfriend Drusilla is at work. Unsurprisingly, he's not as quick as Drusilla to stop the twins fighting.

Round 9: Days 41-45
On Saturday morning, Elias leaves Nathalie in their new apartment to set up and watch the kids.

Elias has bigger fish to fry today, because he's about to open his store, Elias's Earthenware. He has to make sure everything is just right before the customers (hopefully) arrive.

His first customer is his big brother, Jonah. Jonah takes a very long time to decide but eventually makes a choice and spends over $600!

Lucky Elias attended to Autumn quickly! It turns out she's the reporter, come to review his new store. On his first day of business! She must have liked what she saw because she awards Elias the Best of the Best award, which he proudly hangs in the window.

He's still figuring out that cash register though.

Back at home, Nathalie has been busy moving furniture around. She's put a few toys down for Leo but Ottilie is making use of them right now, as her little brother is still too young.

Even with all the interior decorating, Nathalie still had time to teach Ottilie a song before bed.

Elias doesn't have any concerts the next day but he decides to stay home from the shop anyway, especially so he can be there for Leo's birthday. He gets started on teaching him to talk right away.

Now that Ottilie is mobile, Elias will have to give up his morning sleep-ins. He doesn't have his first concert until 11am but Ottilie will make sure he's up at 6.

This morning, she's eager to show him the song Nathalie taught her yesterday.

Then she's off to bother her little brother.

At this point (7:15am), Ottilie has a very late birthday and ages to child. For some reason, the school bus hasn't come for her. Seeing her parents don't have a car, she'll have to walk.

Elias's shop is still doing well. He's at Level 2 now, so he's getting even more customers.

He's getting so many customers that it's hard for him to keep up with demand. He spends several hours after each shift making more pottery.

At home, Nathalie (who does have a job, despite appearances to the contrary) finds the house is a bit quieter with Ottilie at school and takes the time to help Leo take his first steps.

Soon though, it's 3pm and Ottilie is back from her first day at school. She's brought Ben Nihill home on the bus with her. He inexplicably doesn't follow her into the apartment, so she goes up without him, does her homework and then heads back down to the lobby, where he's waiting for her.

Random pic:Isn't it kind of mean to boo a toddler? Ottilie didn't seem very worried though.

Notes:
  • That's definitely the quickest any of my businesses have received an award. The shop had been open for about 4 hours!
  • The Drapers' apartment is where the Clarkes used to live and is right across the hall from Pascal.
