Round 9: Days 41-45
This rotation started on a sad note for the Kirbys. Joanne passed away in platinum, aged 77.
Dinner that night was quiet, apart from Nathaniel's sobbing.
Leontine hears about Brandon's mother's death. Seeing she just lost her father, she knows how down he's probably feeling and makes the drive back home to see him.
Alone at last, they do what they've been wanting to do for a long time.
Brandon has been talking about Leontine non-stop (the "fell in love" heart appears frequently in his speech bubbles) so Nathaniel is keen to meet her.
Just as he's finishing up his pie, the phone rings. Brandon answers it and it's Joseph Carmody. Brandon isn't pleased to hear from him, as you can see.
The next day, he tries again and finds Brandon to be a little more receptive to hearing him out.
The bean crop has come in, so it's time once again to head off to the store. Brandon's going to need to hire a manager soon. He wants to keep the market going for his father but he also wants to do his own thing - he has a job with the military too.
As soon as Nathaniel and Brandon get home from the market, they find Leontine waiting near the driveway with her mother Emmy. Emmy never met Brandon while he was dating Vivienne, so she's insisted on meeting him now that he's with Leontine.
She gets her wish, but unfortunately will not get to know Nathaniel better than she already does because it's his turn to kick the bucket. He lived to 80 and achieved lifetime platinum (through earning all 16 benefit points, not by achieving his LTW), so he's lived a long and full life.Notes:
- My Sims are like bunnies lately.There was so much sex that I cut out of this because it didn't seem in character. Nathaniel and Petra, for one. It figures she'd turn up upon hearing of a newly widowed man but I didn't think Nathaniel would be the type! And Leontine and Brandon - she was on the lot for barely a second before they were heading up to the bedroom! They hadn't even kissed yet, so I switched it around. ACR certainly makes things interesting!
- I have no idea why Joseph keeps calling Brandon. They had a relationship score of 4/0 so I guess Joseph really does want to make friends.
- That outfit that the townie is wearing in the picture of Brandon with Pascal at the market? Hands down the dumbest outfit Maxis has ever given us. I just had to get that out LOL.
Haha, your sims sure do like to get their woohoo on. Very surprising about Petra and Nathaniel, LOL.

I just finished reading through and getting caught up with your blog. I love Sullivan and all of your Sims! I love these intertwined communities and there seems to be a lot drama going on around town. :)

It's so sad to see Joanne and Nathaniel go. I really liked them. I look forward to seeing Brandon's life from here on, though.
ReplyDeleteMao, the Sullivan Sims don't like woohoo half as much as the Sims in my old hood, Chelsea River! This has been almost a break, now that I think about it.

SimmingtonHills, I surprised myself with how sad I was about Nathaniel and Joanne! I didn't cry or anything but I was definitely saddened (I am not normally, when Sims die).
