I tried this tip from Point Hope last night and it looks like it's going to work really well. You've seen a little bit of Dragonfly, the Japanese restaurant in Exeter and with this tip, I was able to set uniforms up for the staff - there are waitresses in kimonos now. I also set up my H&M so that the staff are wearing clothes from H&M, rather than green aprons. Why would staff in a clothing store wear green aprons? Well, now, mine don't!
So if you're the kind of pedant who is extremely bothered by this sort of stuff, go and check out this post right away!

Thanks for posting this link to Point Hope. That is a great idea!
ReplyDeleteThat's a very smart idea. Thanks for sharing that.
ReplyDeleteAlso, thanks for the tip about Flash Note. That thing is so handy, I use it for my regular games too, not just sims.
You're both welcome.
ReplyDeleteFlashnote is great, isn't it? It's been a long time since I had to open Notepad. Flashnote is so much quicker!
Thanks for the tip, it has always bothered me that all community lots seem to have the same uniforms for their employees.
ReplyDeleteI'm also a big fan of Flashnote. I keep it open while I play so I can make little notes about what my sims have been up to (because sometimes the pics I take don't make any sense LOL)
I do the same thing. :)
ReplyDeleteThe only problem with the uniform thing is that horrible no face bug. I've decided the green aprons and the formal waiter uniforms at bowling alleys bother me more though, so I'm still doing it. ;)
I'm almost a year late, but thanks for posting that tip! I'd like my Sims who don't have career-related LTWs to work on community lots, so I'll use this tip.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! Having customised businesses that I don't necessarily have to play is a lot of fun. :)
