- Large lottery prize - $50,000 I may re-write this one a little but they'll get their money. ;)
- Ooops, preggy! You just got knocked up with the next Sim you woohoo. If you are male, you knocked up the next Sim you woohoo. If she is a townie, she must become playable. Who doesn't like babies?
- Flu epidemic! 10 sims are infected! I've done this one before but not since I built my hospital, so it might be fun to do again.
- Deadline to write an article within 24 hours (demoted if failure)
- Fired - unemployed for 5 days Not thrilled about this one at all and I'm still figuring out how I'm going to write it in and if this Sim will be able to re-enter the career or not.
- Participate in a dance contest

Seeing the end of the round is drawing closer, I figured I'd throw up next round's ROS. Don't click the links, unless you're all caught up or you don't mind spoilers!

Let's hope this knocked up sim won't have twins!! ;)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for round 31! No doubt it will be interesting!
I agree, sounds like an interesting round, I am curious about the demotion and pregnancy ones :)
ReplyDeleteOoh, definitely an exciting round! :)
ReplyDeleteROFL That knocke dup one is what got Suni and Oliver in trouble. For the unemployed will that be 5 sim days or five sim years?
ReplyDeletecoolkat2, oh goodness, twins! Yeah, I definitely have my fingers crossed for that not to happen!
ReplyDeleteApple Valley, I think the pregnancy one will be the most interesting one or maybe the "Fired". I've done the demotion one before and it ended up being very interesting, and prompted a whole new career for that Sim.
Rachel, with any luck, it will be!
Riverdale, oh, poor Suni and Oliver!
You know, I don't know about the 5 days/5 years thing! That one came from Jade's original ROS and I sort of just copied it in without considering how it work would in Sullivan. I'll have to think about that but right now, I'm thinking it won't be either. Neither situation sounds particularly realistic to me.
Thank you all for reading!
Thank goodness, no accidents or heart attacks....
ReplyDeleteJust an idea for the "unemployed for five years": The sim who gets fired could suffer of depression because of that and so isn't able to work again for such a long time. Things like that happen a lot nowadays, depressions, burn-out and so on.
Hi there, I just wanted to ask how you choose what sims get the different ROS?
ReplyDeleteWow 30 completed rounds *bows* "I'm not worthy!" That alot of simming! I'm eager to see who's getting knocked up :)
ReplyDeleteAstrid, no, not this time at least!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm still thinking over the unemployed one. Thanks for the idea. Whatever I end up writing has to fit in realism terms but also for the Sim who rolled it. So there's lots to think about!
Thanks for reading!
Anonymous, I have a list of my Sims in my ROS file and when I roll the ROS with Hook's program, it spits out the name of the affected Sim as well. It's pretty handy.
Thanks for reading!
Mizzgin03, I know! This is the longest I've ever played a hood for. I always got bored long before now. ;) But there are no signs of that happening with Sullivan.
Thanks for reading!
Yay! You finally got the unexpected baby ros! These sound fun except flu. Hopefully everyone gets better. Eek on the job though. Hope it's not a college career, like Rob or Finn. Hope it all works out well. I hated that ros with Eva but it worked out, but I dreaded it.
ReplyDeleteOoh very interesting ROS's. Hopefully no death from the flu! *fingers crossed* It'll be great to see your hospital in use some more. I'm really curious who rolled the "preggy" ROS.
ReplyDeleteFor the unemployed one, how about changing "days" to months. Depending on the career, it'd be more realistic than being out of work for 5 days or years, since most people can't survive on no salary for 5 years. But going 5 months without a job seems to be the minimum here in the States with how our economy is doing :\. I'm going to have to rewrite that ROS now.
And I ditto Mizzgin. 30 completed rounds! *dies* That is awesome, though!
Interesting round ahead... :) The flu one makes me nervous...
ReplyDeleteAn idea for the 5 days unemployed - When I roll something that specifies a number of days, I play the family for that many sim-days under the conditions of the ROS, then base the length of time in-story on what happened in the play session...
So if I had your ROS and the family got through fine, it would be a relatively short period... but if, say, they had to start selling stuff or the sim was in red aspiration because they kept rolling career wants or something, then I would imagine a longer time has passed, creating financial pressure or making the sim depressed. Also depends on what else happened in the house during the five days - the actual time in-story might not even be five anything, I just use the five day play session as a basis for the story.
Maisie, LOL, yeah, I guess I've been waiting for that one to pop up! I've never had it before.
ReplyDeleteI really hope this "Fired" one works out well in the end for this Sim! Right now, I'm not looking forward to it!
Thanks for reading!
Danielle, I'm hoping everyone survives the flu this time. Fingers crossed.
You're right, months is more realistic. I actually think I might be formulating an idea for this Fired one. Literally just that second, lol. I don't know if it'll work out, so I'm reserving my excitement.
Thanks for reading!
Blackcat, that's an interesting way to deal with it as well. If I end up deciding to do the idea that I currently have, I don't think it'll matter how long I play but I'm going to keep all that in mind.
Thanks for reading!
I'm glad to see that there are no deads in your ROS, though that flu epidemic can turn out like that. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that this won't happen.
ReplyDeleteIt's going to be an interesting round, I'm curious who got the preggy-ROS.
Tanja, I was very glad not to get any deaths too, because I'd promised myself that I'd carry out any death ROS this time. Last time, everyone survived the flu, so we'll keep our fingers crossed that it's the same this time.
ReplyDeleteThanks for reading!
