Right before we entered our senior year, we both got a little distracted. Linnea spent all her time in the dorm gym.
I still spent most of my time in the library but it was mostly to read smutty novels and surf the web.
For some reason, this didn't impress my professors and I was put on academic probation. Linnea was lucky enough to scrape by with a C but I would be repeating the semester, instead of moving on to senior year.
My bad luck wasn't over yet though! My sister and I both contracted the flu when someone tipped over the rubbish bin outside our dorm.
Linnea was worse to start out with. She could barely get up without going into a coughing fit.
Being sick did finally spur me on to get those logic points I would need to pass my class this semester. I needed four, I had...well, none. Chess wasn't exactly a frequent past-time in our house growing up.
Debbie was worried about both of us but the university wouldn't let her stay on campus longer than 72 hours after her (early) graduation. So we would have to fend for ourselves.
We both forced ourselves to attend classes, so we wouldn't fall any further behind.
It didn't really help us get any better faster. Or at all.
As a last resort, Linnea got a special soup recipe from Magdalena Novak. We both ate a bowl and could literally feel the illness draining away. Thank goodness - I was getting really sick of running to the bathroom every 5 minutes!
Linnea was a semester ahead of me so she graduated first.
I spent a very boring semester on my own before graduating myself, by some miracle. I was so relieved to be done with college.
Random funnies:
Despite the fact that Linnea spent almost her entire time at university naked in a hot tub, in her own dorm and over at Moretti, the very sight of her is shocking to Debbie. I always thought this was really silly but at least it looks cute, even if it doesn't quite make sense.
There is totally some bubble blower action going on in this dorm when I'm not looking.
Notes:
- Debbie rolled up a want I've never seen before this round! While Athena was on academic probation, Debbie wanted to "help Athena with assignments". At that time though, Athena had the flu and I didn't want Debbie to catch it, so I didn't fulfill it.
- Final grades, if you're interested: Debbie 3.8, Linnea 3.7 and Athena 3.0 (the crappiest GPA in Sullivan's history!)
- I had to give Linnea the secondary aspiration of Family so she could make some soup. I may not keep it, as it doesn't really suit her.
- Round summary will be posted later today.
How sweet of Debbie to want to help. I don't think I've seen that want either.
ReplyDeleteThose poor girls! They sure looked sick.
Hooray for the soup, LOL. It's definitely a must-have for the realistic illness hack. I freak out if I don't have a Family sim to make it! I've started keeping it as a leftover in fridges when possible.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see they all made it through!
"I still spent most of my time in the library but it was mostly to read smutty novels and surf the web."
ReplyDeleteI laughed when I read this - so true! I knew I did a lot of stuff like that - ha ha
Heh, well, I know what I was doing in the library at school and it wasn't study - rubbish novels and completely uneducational internet sites aplenty!
ReplyDeleteThe soup *almost* feels like cheating but it was going to be impossible for me to get them through college without it.
