You say it's your birthday, September 2032

Just a few months to go until the arrival of baby #2 for Nick and Sarah. Until then, they have more than enough to occupy themselves, including teaching soon-to-be big brother Thomas to walk. Sarah is due in November.

Rose and Joanna's twins are not far away either. Given how long it took her to get pregnant, they've decided not to take any chances and Rose has started her maternity leave a little early. She's using it to spend some quality time with Sylvia in their brand new house. The twins will make their first appearance in December.

Extras:
I promised I'd post a few pictures of Rose and Joanna's new house, so here they are. It's the house Cordy and Eliot Lane used to live in, with a few walls moved around.

I recently assigned favourite colours to my Sims and Joanna's is brown and Rose's is white. Super easy colours to work with, decorating-wise! Sylvia's is black, which is a bit much for a little girl's room, so there are just some black accents in her room.

  1. Thomas is so cute! I'm hoping the next one will look more like Sarah. She has a pretty unique look and I want it to stay in Sullivan :)

When I was a little kid (Around 10 I think) I was obsessed with black and tried to convince my mother to let me paint my walls black. Obviously, didn't work! :P

  2. Gorgeous! You are such a great decorator! :D

  3. They have a great home, love the colors. I've always just given sims their favorite colors, but I like the idea of assigning them now that I've seen the brown/white.

I'm looking forward to all the babies! And agree wtih Flit, I hope the next has Sarah's features. Did you make her nose changes genetic? I think they'd be cute with a little boy, and a little girl.

I can't wait to see if any of the twins take after Joanna!

  4. How funny for a little girl to roll black as a favorite color, lol! (Oh, do you roll them, or do you just pick them?) I bet she'll make a punky teenager with that color though!

    The rooms are gorgeous!

  5. Flit, well, we'll soon see! It's true; no one else in the hood looks at all like Sarah.

I can't imagine wanting to paint my room black would have gone over too well with my mother either!

    Thanks for reading!

Driftwood Valley, thank you! I have more fun playing when my Sims are living in surroundings pleasing to my eye. I used to just throw any old objects down but it's worth it to me to take the time to make it look good. ;)

    Thanks for reading!

Maisie, I wouldn't mind living in Joanna and Rose's new place myself. Or their old place, actually!

I did make Sarah's nose changes genetic, so any kid who inherits her nose will inherit her current pointy one, not her previous non-existent alienesque one!

    Thanks for reading!

Laura, with some Sims, I rolled for their favourite colours but with others, I already had a colour in mind. I knew Patience's would be yellow and Josie and Ione would both like red.

I rolled for Sylvia's but it just fits her, I think. She's a Film & Lit Sim and she's quite serious. I have no shortage of black clothes, of all sorts of styles, so she'll be fun to dress!

    Thanks for reading!

  6. Thomas is such a cutie! I can't wait to see baby #2, I bet he/she will be cute too.

I hope everything goes well with Rose's pregnancy. Wise decision for her to take it easy. I like their new house and I drool over all the furniture and deco items. I shouldn't be looking at pictures from your houses when I trying to cut down the CC in my game!

  7. Rose and Johannah's house looks so comfy, and clearful!
The picture with Sarah, Nick and the little Thomas is adorable!

  8. I adore Thomas, and I'm sure their second baby will be just as adorable, no matter who he/she looks like!!

I wonder if there will be some resemblance to Joanna in their twins, that would be nice.

I like Joanna and Rose's new house, it looks so spacious.
Can I ask where you got those windows?

About those favourite colors... how do you deside on them? I know you roll some, but the ones you don't roll, are they based on their intrest or personalities?
(I'm sorry for the questions again!)

  9. Kay for the last few months, I have been reading Sullivan from beginning to end... And it is now officially my favorite blog! Your sims are all so unique and interesting to read about.
I've recently started my own blog, St Jane and I have to admit I have stolen a couple of your ideas, but dont worry most of them are mine. Please check it out if you have time!
Anywho, can't wait for next update!!:)

  10. Sari, I hope so! I'm curious to see what a mix of Sarah and Nick's genes would look like. Cute as he is, Thomas is definitely not much of a mix!

If Rose didn't decide to take it easy on her own, Joanna would have insisted on it anyway.

Oh, I don't envy you trying to cut down right now! There's so much nice stuff out there. :\

    Thanks for reading!

Sandy, I really love Joanna and Rose's house, even more than I loved with with Cordy and Eliot. It really needs a few walls moved before it's playable and I think it's about right now.

I don't think I could make Nick, Sarah and Thomas look anything but adorable if I tried. They're a very sweet little family.

    Thanks for reading!

Tanja, I'm excited to meet this baby! It feels like so long away. I won't get a chance to play today and I have two more full updates to play through before my next birthdays post, which isn't even Nick and Sarah's!

Chances are high that the twins will look at least a little like Joanna. There's a good amount of similarity between Joanna and Wade, though Joanna has more of Athena in her than Wade does.

For the favourite colours I don't roll, no, they're not really based on interests or personality. Sometimes it's a colour the Sim looks good in and sometimes it's just a colour I think they'd like. I don't really have a system for choosing though.

I'm not sure where I got those windows. I've written it down, so hopefully I'll remember to check for you tomorrow.

Coolkat2, wow, I'm always impressed when someone takes the time to read ALL the previous entries! It means a lot that you would say Sullivan is your favourite. Thank you so much!

When I get a chance, I'll check out your blog. :) The next update around here should be in the next couple of days, so not too long away.

    Thanks for reading!

  11. Wow, the house looks great! It has such a fresh, open feel to it.

I've started assigning favorite colours to some of my sims, but I've decided to do it in a more random way - based on what colour clothes they age up into at their next birthday. For the ones who aren't having a birthday in a while, I'll just go on what they're wearing at the moment, or just what feels right for them... I already had something in mind with some of them, anyway.

Looking forward to meeting the babies, too!

  12. I love this place. I think I have the same couch. Did you build the place?

I can't wait to see the babies when they come out too. Adorable factor x10!

  13. Blackcat, thanks, I'm already very fond of this house.

Ah, I've heard of people assigning favourite colours that way before! That would work too. It's just nice to have a jumping off point when you start decorating a new place.

    Thanks for reading!

Choco, I use that couch so much! Joanna and Rose had it in their old place too, only in a different colour. I figured they had it reupholstered. I definitely did not build this house though! I rarely build houses, because I can usually find what I'm looking for to download.

    Thanks for reading!

  15. Rachel, I'm glad you like it. I'm looking forward to actually playing it (and decorating the nurseries, seeing I'm waiting until the twins are born for that).

    Thanks for reading!

  16. I ditto everyone again. The pic of Sarah and Nick teaching Thomas to walk is adorable. All 3 of them are adorable and I can't wait to meet the new baby. And I'm glad Rose is taking it easy. They've been waiting a long time for the pregnancy to take and it's wise to minimize anything that could cause complications. And their new house looks great! I like the white and brown combo, and I can't wait to see Sylvia's look when she gets older with her fav color being black.

  17. Danielle, I have a really cute pic of Abigail and Caleb teaching Nick to walk when he was little (it's in my Favourite Sim thing at N99 and was on the blog at the time as well), so I had that in mind when I set up this picture.

Rose and Joanna aren't going to take any chances with these twins. They're both determined that everything goes smoothly. There's no excuse to keep running around now that they're all settled in their new place and Rose is on leave. They can just sit back and wait for the babies. :)

    Thanks for reading!

  18. I just went back to look at Abigail and Caleb teaching Nick to walk. *heart farts* Nick is so tiny. :)

  19. Oh, I know! Nick was such a cute little boy. And Thomas is easily just as cute as his daddy was!

  20. Look at me finally sitting down to read, lol!

Wow, Rose's and Joanne's house looks gorgeous! Perfect for those two.

  21. Lunar, LOL and look at me finally sitting down to reply! I was busy eating yesterday!

I'm really happy with Rose and Joanna's house. I've even got off my lazy bum and decorated the nurseries since this post!

    Thanks for reading!
