You say it's your birthday, August 2035

Round 32: August 2035 (Winter)

Jace is absolutely thrilled that his daughter Maia is finally giving him that much wanted fourth grandchild!

And of course, Magdalena can't wait to meet Baby Novak either. Maia is almost at the end, so there are just a few more months to go. Baby Novak is due in October.

For Steve and Olivia Nihill, the wait is over - Baby #3 is on the way!

Dr. Clarke (who is newly pregnant herself) delivered Jacinta and is ready to deliver the Nihills' third, and hopefully final, baby as well.

And at 6:10am, Olivia gives birth to a healthy baby boy!

Theo Benjamin, whose middle name is for his late grandfather, was a huge surprise for his parents but Olivia and Steve are happy to welcome him into the family.

And finally, Iris Kirby is celebrating her first birthday!

Big sister Daphne is beside herself that Iris is now old enough to play with her and Iris is only too happy to oblige.

Extras:
Just some Iris spam!
I seriously never thought Claudia or Victoria would make such cute kids. Of the five they have between them now though, four are so sweet they could almost give me a toothache and one is...well, Keira will improve as she gets older, lol!

Comparisons:
So here's Iris...

...her dad, Jacob

...and her mum, Claudia.

Notes:
  • I took an adorable picture of Olivia and Theo in the hospital and for some reason, it didn't upload. If I remember later, I'll put it up on the Tumblr. ;)
  • And speaking of Theo, how excited am I about him?! This is my first redheaded boy EVER born in Sullivan (Jack doesn't count, as he wasn't so much born as he was randomly generated)! He pretty much picked up all the genes I wanted him to - a blended skintone, red hair and grey eyes.
  • I love Iris! I don't think she's quite as cute as Daphne was but I adore her just the same. She looks a lot like Claudia, apart from her skin tone, eye shape and chin, which all come from Jacob. Both of Claudia's daughters have somehow escaped the Kirby chin so far!

  1. OMG Yay congratulations on a redheaded boy, lol! I love Theo's name, too. It's always so sweet when you name babies after their grandparents in whatever way. :) Iris is a cutie! I can't wait until my Sims start having beautiful babies. Can't wait to meet baby Novak, either! Hope you don't mind, but by any chance do you remember where you got Maia's hairstyle? Thanks in advance! :)

  2. Finally a redheaded boy! I love Theo's name, and I agree, it's nice to name babies after grandparents (if possible).

Iris is ADORABLE! Daphne is a living doll, but from the shot Iris looks like she might be even cuter.

  3. YAY! Finally the coveted redheaded boy :)

  4. Anna, I usually only name the kids after a grandparent if the grandparent has died, especially if they died quite young. I should do it more often though; my middle name is after my grandmother but she was still alive when I was born.

Iris is indeed very cute. It's the Kirby family's turn for Christmas this year and I'm looking forward to doing it with Daphne and Iris.

I think Maia's hairstyle is a fairly old Peggy mesh. The texture she's using is a Pookleted one I did myself. :)

    Thanks for reading!

S.B., I've been waiting to use Theo's name since Olivia was pregnant the first time around. ;) I was glad she had a boy this time, because I wasn't nearly as fond of the girl name I had picked out. And you know, because he has red hair!

I think I've got a softer spot for Daphne just because Jacob is Liam's only son, so I was glad she picked up some of her dad's features. Both girls are super cute though.

    Thanks for reading!

Apple Valley, LOL, I know! Can you believe it? Once, I worked out that Sullivan would have been founded in 1919, so I've been waiting 116 years for this elusive redheaded boy! And Maia and Ethan have a chance to give me a redhead too...it would be crazy if they had one too!

    Thanks for reading!

  5. Yay, a red-head! Just so you know, I have dedicated my Oct 16 post for you, Carla.

I absolutely love it when the genes are blended evenly, especially when the parents' skin tones vary greatly. I hated it with Illiana's family. She has a lighter skin tone than her husband Harold and they had triplets. Two had her skin tone and one had the fathers. I was disappointed that none of them had a blended tone. Grr.

  6. LaurelCrossing, oh, yeah? I'll have to look out for that one then. :)

Yeah, the blending is nice. It seems to happen more often that way in real life when you have one parent who is much darker than the other. It definitely happens the other way though. I know a family where the father is white and the mother is Maori. Their son looks about how you'd expect a mixed-race child of that particular heritage to look. Their daughter though, she has mostly Maori facial features but fair skin, freckles and red hair! Genetics are pretty fascinating in real life as well!

    Thanks for reading!

  7. Oohhh a redheaded boy! I can't wait to see what he looks like as tot! I totally wanted them to have a boy, he's gonna be adorable. And Iris, way too cute! I love Iris' skintone, way sweet. I'm looking forward to Maia delivering, can't wait to see what she has! How sweet are Jace and Magdalena, love those two!

  8. Maisie, heh, well, you know I wanted them to have a boy too, even though I can see them as parents of all girls. ;) I just had to get that redhead finally, lol.

Iris is a sweetie. Her skintone is one of the things she got from Jacob, along with her eyes and chin. Everything else is all Claudia!

I got all excited last night because I thought Maia was having her baby after the winter formal but then I remembered I still have a while to go. ;) We have Susannah and Sam's son Zac's first birthday to tide us over before then though. :)

    Thanks for reading!

  9. Ooh very excited to see Zac! When are they getting an actual update? We've missed the baby year with them... I wonder how happy Susannah is with Sam quitting jobs... he seems sorta flaky.

  10. Maisie, we'll hear from Sam and Susannah soonish. :) They'll be the second update of October. So there'll be plenty about Sam's job situation, as well as their relationship, then.

  11. I want to meet the new baby!! ;)

I'm so glad you got finally the redheaded boy you wanted, you have been waiting for him long enough! Even though I wouldn't have minded them having another girl, little Theo somehow seems perfect for them :)

You're right about Iris, not as cute as Daphne but still adorable!

I really don't know how you're always able to have great things I still don't have in my downloadsfolder :) I hope you don't mind me asking again, but where did you get Maia's outfit?

    ReplyDelete
  12. Tanja, me too! I'm playing Aaron and Calvin tomorrow and will be ducking in to do Maia's birth right after that. I don't care what time it is by the time I finish with the boys because I simply cannot wait any longer!

Ugh, I'm relieved I finally got a redheaded boy. I seriously can't believe it took me so long! LOL, the next generation will probably be full of them and I'll be wanting some dark-haired kids again!

Hmmm, I thought I knew where Maia's outfit was from but I don't. :\ I'll have to check that for you when I get home from work today. :)

    Thanks for reading!

  13. Tanja, I just checked Maia's outfit and it's from TSR. It's by Aleeza and I pinned the direct link to my Pinterest. :)

  14. Welcome Theo!!

Iris is a darling!! She really looks like her both parents, but with more "moderated" traits, if I can say.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Sandy, yes, Iris does seem to have inherited slightly more subtle features from her parents, especially with the features she got from Claudia. She's a pretty girl!

    Thanks for reading!

  16. Yay for a redhead! That's wonderful! Iris is really cute, and it should be interesting to see the blend of features! :)

  17. Thank you for looking it up for me Carla, and I'm sorry for constantly bugging you WCIF's, but you have such amazing donwloads :)

  18. Yay!! Finally a red haired boy born in your game! :) I know you're super excited. I hope Theo looks like Steve since no one in the hood looks like him. I'll be interested to see what a male child of Steve and Olivia looks like regardless.

And awww! How sweet is Iris! VERY! I can't wait to see more of her and looking forward to meeting Maia and Ethan's baby soon!

Wow, 116 years you've waited for a red haired boy. You are patient! ;)

  19. Rachel, I'm very pleased little Theo is a redhead! At long last!

I'm excited to start playing Daphne and Iris together. What a pair of cuties. I love that they turned out differently, but with enough of a family resemblance to satisfy my genetics nerd side. ;)

    Thanks for reading!

Tanja, it's no trouble at all! Every time someone asks about something, I pin it to Pinterest so it's much easier to find the next time someone asks. :)

Danielle, I know, can you believe it?! Finally! Steve is pretty Face One-y, so I'll be fine if Theo looks more like Olivia. I always thought her dad Ben was the cutest toddler! We'll see, huh?

I love Iris too. And I love how Jacob now has these two little girls, who probably have their daddy wrapped around their little fingers! I adore their family.

    Thanks for reading!
