You say it's your birthday, September 2035

Round 32: September 2035 (Spring)

Now into her second trimester, Josie Clarke's morning sickness has completely dissipated. She is, however, once again plagued by the insomnia she suffered throughout her pregnancy with Jude.

She was expecting it but she still can't help but resent husband Troy for the solid eight hours of sleep he gets every single night. Baby Clarke is due in February.

This September, Zac Whitney is celebrating his first birthday, which means he's finally big enough to ride the llamas in the playground of his parents' apartment complex.

Zac is a pretty cheerful little guy, though he does tend to share his dad's more serious tendencies as well.

Not to mention most of his facial features.

Comparison:
Zac...

No toddler pic of Sam but here is Susannah...

Notes:
  • So I'm a tad disappointed with Zac. I was hoping for a kid who looked more like Susannah or at least was a bit of a mix. The only thing he inherited from his mum was the blonde hair, which was the only thing I didn't want him to inherit! Sigh. That's Sim genetics for you. I do think he's pretty cute though.

  1. You know, I've never been pregnant but I would feel pretty resentful at my husband too. I don't blame Josie a bit.

Genetics, always a funny thing, even in the game. Maybe he'll look more like Susannah when he gets older. Also, there's the possibility that Zac will have some lovely red-headed children in the future. Or perhaps siblings from good ol' Mom and Dad? ;)

  2. Poor Josie, I guess her body is just preparing her for the next few months of sleepless nights

  3. Zac is drop dead gorgeous! If he's serious, that's going to make him even more incredible LOL!

I've been pregnant and although I didn't have insomnia (just the opposite), if I had insomnia and he was snoring away, it would probably be annoying. I can understand Josie's resentment.

  4. Choco, I definitely would resent my husband too! Or anyone that was getting a good night's sleep, I think.

I don't know that we have much chance of Zac looking anything more like Susannah as he ages, as he looks pretty clone-like to me. Definitely a chance of Zac having some redheaded babies of his own one day though. ;)

    Thanks for reading!

Apple Valley, ha! You may be right! Seeing Josie's done this before, I'm sure she'd prefer to get a restful pregnancy and deal with sleepless nights once the baby comes!

    Thanks for reading!

S.B., Zac is quite cute and yes, he's serious. Not incredibly serious (4 points, I think) but seeing most of my Sims are loaded up with playful points, that's pretty serious for my game!

I can see Troy as the kind of guy who isn't particularly sympathetic to pregnancy woes as well, which would probably only increase the resentment on Josie's part!

    Thanks for reading!

  5. Zac is cute, and his dad is too... But he coulda been cuter if he took more from his mom. I can't wait til Josie has her baby. I think they'd be cute with two boys, she's such a not girlie girl, but looked how that worked out for Tatiana!

  6. Maisie, yeah, that's where I am with Zac too. As long as Susannah has at least one kid who looks like her, I'll be fine though.

Ha, yes, Tatiana the tomboy and her girly-girl daughter! We'll see what happens with Josie. I've never seen her as quite as tomboyish as Tatiana but I have more trouble seeing her with a daughter! We have Maia's baby to meet before then though (I'm doing her birth today!)

    Thanks for reading!

  7. Ooo can't wait for Maia's baby! I don't think Tom boyish is quite the word. She's just more... Direct and can be abrasive perhaps. Which is more of a masculine trait, less flighty/girly like. I'd think she could easily hold her own. All sounds rather sexist haha. But I'm more like Josie in these ways too, so I don't mean I'll by it! lol I just hide my direct, sarcastic ways on the Internet, doesn't transfer well.

  8. Maisie, me either! I'm probably going to take the pics of Maia that I need for Aaron and Calvin's update (because she'll need to still be pregnant, obviously), go in to do her birth and then head back to Aaron and Calvin. I just don't know if I can wait for Aaron and Calvin's whole session to meet this baby!

And yeah, you'd be right about Josie there! She is definitely abrasive at times, which is more commonly associated with men. I'm very curious to find out what this next baby is like and how Josie deals with it.

  9. Poor Josie, I hope she can get some sleep before the baby arrives. I totally understand why she would get irritated with Troy because he's sleeping like a baby while she can't.

Aww, little Zac is cute. He kind of reminds me of Marcus Lane as a toddler for some reason.

  10. Sari, Josie getting irritated with Troy here is definitely understandable, though it's not like it takes a lot to annoy her under normal circumstances. ;)

You know, I think you're right. I can see a resemblance between Marcus and Zac as well. They have similar colouring but mainly, I think it's the larger than average gap between his nose and mouth, which Marcus also has. I wonder if the resemblance will keep up when Zac ages to child.

  11. Zac is a darling, but sure, he could have more of his mother (who is absolutely adorable). Freckles would have been nice. But he's truly adorable anyway! :)

  12. Sandy, I might still add freckles to Zac but I'm not sure. When I put freckles on a Sim, I don't normally do it until they're children. It will depend on what the freckles look like on his darker skin tone. I don't use freckled skin tones. I would love it if there was a freckle overlay but in the absence of that, I use freckle masks instead of skintones. :)

  13. Zac is very cute, but Susannah was such a beautiful toddler! How disappointing. Maybe their next child will have more of Susannah's features? :)

  14. I have to say I share you disappointment of Zac. He's a cute boys, but I was expecting/hoping he would look some more like Susannah.
I'm really hoping their next child will have Sam's red hair, and Sussanah's facial features :)

I'm so looking forward to the little brother for Jude! I do hope Josie's pregnancy get's a little bit easier and that she can get some sleep.

  15. Poor Josie. I'd definitely resent my husband too lol. Even now, if he's snoring in my ear keeping me up, I'll poke him until he turns over. I advise Josie do the same :p.

Aww, Zac is a little cutie but too bad he doesn't look anything like Susannah. Hopefully down the line she will have another child, a little girl that looks like her but with red hair. :)

  16. Danielle, Josie's resentment of Troy's ability to sleep like a rock would crop up any time she can't sleep and he can, pregnant or not. And LOL, I bet he totally snores!

Heh, a redheaded girl who looks like Susannah would be adorable! We'll see if it happens. I'm due to play Susannah and Sam today. :)

    Thanks for reading!

  17. Rachel and Tanja, sorry, I missed your comments before!

Rachel, yes, Susannah was an amazingly cute little girl, so I was hoping for more of the same with Zac! Hopefully, I still have a chance for a mini-Susannah. ;)

    Thanks for reading!

Tanja, yeah, I was hoping so too. I'll just have to be content that he's not fugly. ;)

LOL, have you already decided that Josie is having a boy? She's still pregnant in game, so I don't know yet! We'll see if your prediction turns out to be correct.

    Thanks for reading!
