You say it's your birthday, November 2042

Round 35: November 2042 (Spring)

Camilla's second pregnancy has been very different from her first. She's not living with her parents and has had Charlie by her side every day.

They were also assured at the first ultrasound that there was most definitely only one baby!

Thankfully, Charlie is considerably calmer than he was the first time around.

Some things have stayed the same. Once again, Dr. Moretti is there to deliver their child.

The actual birth is also much the same, apart from being a lot quicker this time!

And at roughly 1 in the morning, Charlie and Camilla's new baby girl makes her debut!

Eliza Adeline has her mother's blue eyes and some wispy black hair, which comes from grandma Zelda.

Charlie missed much of the first year of Grace and Everett's lives, due to being away at college, and is determined not to miss anything from Eliza's!

Notes:
  • Yay, she's here! I didn't think I had a feeling about whether this baby would be a boy or a girl but surprised myself by being surprised. ;) A split second before Eliza came along, I was expecting a boy.
  • Another black-haired baby. Sigh. There was no chance of a redhead with these two anyway (though Camilla has a red hair gene that she has annoyingly not passed along to any of her children!) but couldn't I at least get some brown hair up in here? What state am I in with this hood when I'm desperate for brown hair, lol?

  1. Yay, welcome Eliza! Black-haired (or in the case of River's Bend - redheads) sims always take over my hoods too, eventually. :)

    1. Oh, to be taken over by redheads! That's my sim dream, lol! I'll have to be content with my multitudes of dark-haired sims for the meantime though. :)

  2. Not sure if my last comment went through--

Congratulations to Charlie and Camilla on little Eliza, and yay for her arrival. I liked the way you compared their last birth to this one.

And as for the genetic tendency towards darker-haired sims in Sims 2, you know how I was always getting inpatient and adding in redheaded families and potential spouses! I admire your restraint and self-control!

    1. Heh, I wouldn't call myself restrained! I just know if I add more families for genetic diversity, it'll take me even longer to get through a round than it does already. And I really, really want to see the hood progress, above all else.

I mustn't have posed Charlie last time. He was quite panicked, which was fitting for the kid he was when the twins were born! He was only 18.

  3. Aww Congrats to Charlie and Camilla, and for the arrival of little Eliza. It was nice how this pregnancy and delivery went, and I'm glad that Camilla got to experience it again with Charlie by her side. Now I'm sure Grace is excited to spoil her baby sister. I'm with you, I would be happy with brown haired babies too. But you have quite a diversity of hair color already overall.

    1. Yeah, Charlie was there with her last time too but I think he was a little more helpful and supportive the second time around! Eliza is going to be a very different experience for them, I think.

LOL, I know other simmers have it worse with the hair colour thing! I'm just kind of stunned at how many sims I have with the possibility of red hair and then still give me boring old black! Oh well. She'll still be cute, I'm sure.

  4. LOL about your hair situation. I think I made the fatal mistake of making far too many black-haired sims at the start of my new hood. I'm probably going to regret that later. (I am also not above cheating if it becomes a problem, so there's that, lol!)

    Welcome baby Eliza!

    1. My hood was fairly poorly planned in terms of hair, right from the beginning! I just didn't think about it at all. I had to wait until Generation 3 to get my first born-in-game redhead! I kind of am opposed to cheating with it because it'd be more work than I'd be willing to put in - I'd need to edit their DNA in SimPE and everything. So Eliza will just have to be adorable with her black hair, lol.

  5. I was expecting them to have a girl, but then I saw your post on twitter, that you were surprised by what they had, I immediatly thought they would have a boy, but then your update came out :) I'm sorry I'm rambling here, but I just thought it was funny.

Anyway, I'm glad they had a girl, I'm sure she'll be a cuty. And I'l aslo glad that Charlie will be more involved this time around, I'm sure he'll enjoy this time with his little girl.

    1. Heh, I think I wanted them to have a girl (mostly because I liked my girl name so much better!) but wasn't expecting it, because I so often don't get the sexes I want! So when they did have a girl, I was surprised. :) She is sure to be adorable though, if Grace and Everett are anything to go by. I wouldn't mind if this baby resembled Camilla a little more strongly though, as her genes are more rare in the hood than Charlie's.
