You say it's your birthday, June 2042

Camilla and Charlie's third child is now just the tiniest bit visible!

They are both getting pretty excited about their impending arrival. Camilla has just entered her second trimester and is due in November.

Hope’s pregnancy has been a very nerve-wracking experience for both her and her husband Malcolm. They’re both happy to be at Lukas Novak Memorial, ready to meet their baby!

Given that Malcolm is a doctor himself, Hope is confident that he’ll be of a little more help than some other first time fathers!

Malcolm does just fine but obstetrics not being his area of expertise, he takes a back seat and lets Dr. Moretti do her job.

After what feels like forever to Hope and Malcolm, Mason Henry takes his first breath!

Much to his parents’ relief, Mason is the very definition of a healthy baby.

He shares his fair complexion and blue eyes with his mum but has his dad’s dark hair.

Louisa Gentry has, at long last, graduated!

After a semester on academic probation in her freshman year, Louisa worked hard and managed to finish with a 3.6 GPA!

Once her boyfriend Justin graduates in six months' time, they'll be getting a place together but for now, Louisa is living with her friends Emma and Jessica

Louisa has yet to find a job but is hoping to get something where she can put her psychology degree to good use.

Notes:
  • Hope and Malcolm finally have their baby! I did another last minute name change with this one, though I wasn't quite as indecisive with this baby as I was with Jack and Audrey's.
  • Louisa should have a profile by the time you read this. Her big brother Oliver should get one some time next game year, when he marries Sophie. :)

  1. Oh, I am so happy for Hope and Malcolm, welcome little Mason! And Charlie and Camilla look just as young as first time parents! It's hard to believe they have teens, but I guess they got an early start.

Congratulations to Louisa! As a real-life counselor, I'll love forward to seeing how she uses her psychology degree. Here in the U.S., a doctorate is an entry-level psychology degree, but counselors only have to have master's or specialist degrees.

    1. Charlie and Camilla are actually a couple of years younger than Hope and Malcolm! This is probably about the age they would have had their first child if they'd been able to plan their family like most of their peers have been able to. :)

Here, there are no regulations on the title of counsellor, so literally anyone can set up an office and call themselves a counsellor. There are registration bodies but they are voluntary. I believe it's the same for therapist and psychotherapist. You do need to register to practise as a psychologist though and that requires some form of further education (I think it's a two year internship, not sure if it includes some more uni?).

For Louisa, I'm looking at either Counselling Psychology or Social Work. I'm leaning towards social work at this point. In Australia, you can practise as a social worker with a Bachelor's in either SW or psych, so Louisa would be good to go. I'm still deciding whether she'd be up for another two years if she decided to do counselling instead. She's a Knowledge sim but she's just had an extra semester at uni, so I'm not sure if she'd be burned out on study right now!

    2. I knew they were young, but didn't know they were even younger than Hope and Malcolm!

And Australia sounds very different than Florida, at least (different states have different requirements). Anyway, either of those careers for Louisa sound great. And Pru had made the great lot for Social work, right?

    3. Pru did make an awesome social services lot but I'm not sure I'll use it this time around. It has a lot of CC in it and I'm very careful about installing lots with CC included these days, even from trusted sources like Pru. It's just too hard to figure out where everything comes from and get it all in the right folders. I may install it without the CC and replace the default stuff with my own though. :)

  2. I'm really happy for Malcolm and Hope. It's been a long time coming. Also, for some reason, I think that Charlie and Camilla are gonna have a girl. Just a hunch. It would be amazing if the game gave us the specific sex but I guess that's part of the fun.

    1. Heh, I love when people make guesses! I have no hunch so far with Camilla and Charlie. I'd be happy with either. A boy would balance things out but a girl would let me use my girl name, which I like much more than the boy name. ;)

  3. Exciting that they had a son, and the name is perfect for them. Looking forward to seeing who he resembles and takes after, he has very good looking parents so I don't think he can be anything but adorable. Louisa looks great, glad that she graduated and hope things work out well for her. Very excited to see Camilla and Charlie's baby and what they have too.

    1. Yeah, I was happy Malcolm and Hope had a boy. Seems right for them, somehow. Should be interesting to see how the genes mix - that's always fun with first-borns.

Poor Louisa - first sim I've had in a while who's done a job search on the computer and there was nothing suitable that popped up. I was expecting to put her in low level culinary or something but it was all totally wrong things like Athletics and Medicine! Oh well. She'll get there.

  4. I'm doing a happy dance in my chair. I'm so happy for Malcolm and hope! Oh happy day. I know this is a bit too early, but do you think they will try for at least one more, or are they done with having kids? And Camilla and Charlie, I'm so excited for them as well. They make beautiful children, so I think their third will be just as pretty. I'm hoping for a girl!

    1. Yeah, I was really happy for them too. It was like a huge sigh of relief, lol! Hope is a Family sim, so I think they'll want (or she'll want, anyway) at least one more baby. We'll see what happens. I'm thinking it might be the last for Charlie and Camilla but maybe they'll feel differently once the new one comes around.

    1. Well, hopefully, Mason will continue to be adorable! He's just EA default baby right now, so it's hard to say. I'm just happy Hope and Malcolm have their baby finally!

  6. Welcome little Mason! I'm always a little bit bummed when I get a black-haired baby, but they always turn out as good looking sims, I'm sure Mason will be very cute, especially with his blue eyes!

Seeing your birth-pictures always remind me that I should download the posebox and try it out! But I keep forgetting to do it!

I'm excited for Charlie and Camilla. And I'm happy Charlie gets to be there this pregnancy.

    Congratulations to Louisa!

    1. I'm hoping Mason will be a cutie. Hope was a really cute toddler and Malcolm was only slightly weird looking, lol.

That posebox is a good one and I've barely scratched the surface with it. There are heaps of other poses I don't use. The poses that are meant to be for onlookers are a bit too exaggerated though. I might try layering them and see if I can get some subtlety happening. But definitely download it and try it out for yourself. :)

  7. I'm so happy for Hope and Malcolm! After all the grief they now have a healthy baby boy with such a cute name.

Congrats to Louisa for graduating. I was looking at that picture of her with her family and was thinking "hmm... who's the redhead" until I realized it was her dad! He looks so young!

(Sorry for cluttering your inbox with my comments but I'm on a Sullivan binge and I can't stop myself from commenting on everything, LOL!)

    1. No worries about the comments - I always like getting them. :)

I'm so thrilled for Hope and Malcolm too. I'm not even thinking about a second yet, surprisingly for me. ;) I'm just glad they have Mason for the mean time!

Heh, yes, that's Louisa's dad Jairus. I haven't shown him much on the blog. You've probably seen her mother Vanessa more, as she works at Tate's Pizzeria. :)
