Lot tour: Evan and Ione's house

I've been sick for the past week and a half, so I haven't had the time or energy to get a story update ready this week. So instead, I'm putting up a lot tour!

This is Evan and Ione's new house. I haven't done anything to the garden yet, so don't mind all the sparseness when you see the layout!

Which is here. The downstairs...

...and the upstairs.

The living room. This house is decorated quite differently to their house in Sullivan 1.0 but I kept the couch!

Dining room. I am obsessed with this rug lately.

Bathroom. You can't see it properly but the shower curtain has sushi on it and it's adorable.

The kitchen. All the booze on the counter started out as a placeholder and then I couldn't find something else that filled the space quite as well, so it became permanent!

Evan and Ione's bedroom. The wallpaper looks different in the second picture but it's the same. Just the stupid lighting.

Aurora's bedroom, which might be my favourite.

Bianca's bedroom.

Francesca's bedroom. Who'd have thought I could get so much use out of lobster wallpaper? I think I've used it in three different houses now!

Hope you enjoyed the tour! I'll try to have an update on this family up for you next weekend. :)

  1. Ooh, I *reallly* like that downstairs layout. I haven't seen that particular layout before and never came up with it either. I was wondering about the booze bottles.... The desk and shelving in Ione's bedroom is so striking! Is there a tutorial for placing a garage sideways like that, on a foundation?

The whole house is SO beautifully decorated. Thanks Carla for posting it, and I hope you feel better soon!

    1. Well, I can't take credit for the layout! I didn't build this place. It's extraordinarily rare that I build houses, because I can generally find exactly what I want elsewhere. Community lots are a little harder, so I do sometimes build those.

There's probably a tutorial for the sideways garage but I have no clue where! As I said above, I didn't build this place. The garage itself is not on a foundation, though the house is. I know getting a house on a foundation to attach to a garage is a CFE trick but I couldn't begin to tell you how it's done.

Glad you liked the house! I am feeling something approaching normal today. :)

      Thanks for looking and commenting!

  2. Looks great! I really like their red couch, and I'm totally surprised at the amount of booze Ione keeps on her counter! ;) Francisca and Aurora's are my two favorite bedrooms, and the divider in the master bedroom too. I really like the layout on the main floor as well, open, but each space still contained. I hope you are starting to feel better!

    1. LOL, I know, and with teenagers in the house as well! ;) I'm still not sure about the booze bottles. I'd really like something cluttery and kitcheny of a similar size to go there but my catalog doesn't have anything. :\

Aurora's bedroom is my favourite too. :) That divider isn't really dividing anything that makes sense to divide but I just had to use it anyway, lol! I didn't build this place though, so I can only take credit for the decor and not the layout.

  3. I like the kitchen and lol at the booze! Evan & Ione's bedroom would have to be my fav, it's very much my own style. :) Francesca's bedroom is super cute, that lobster wallpaper is a classic! And I spy a TS3 wall hanging in Aurora's bedroom! ;)

    1. The pinboard, you mean? Yeah, I downloaded a set of recolours of that which had some TS3 pics on them. Pretty cute. I am obsessed with the lobster wallpaper, though I just checked and I think I actually used a different one in the other two houses. I have one with crabs on it that is very similar in colour and style.

And thank you, I'm feeling much better today!

  5. It's a very handsome house with nicely furnished and decorated rooms, although I must admit I am not quite sure about the lobster wallpaper ;-) The kitchen is my favourite, I think - I must remember to place a table in the middle of a large kitchen next time I play a house with a layout that allows for it.

    1. ...And sorry to hear you were ill. Lot tours always make for interesting posts, but that does not mean you should be ill more often!!!

    2. I expect Francesca will grow out of the lobster wallpaper at some point. ;) She's only 7 for now though, so I'm letting her have some fun with it. The table in the middle of the kitchen was kind of a necessity to fill up space, though I do like it! Thanks for the well wishes. :)

  6. First of all, I hope you feel beter.

I always like getting a look in sims' houses, so I don't mind lot tours at all! Evan and Ione's house looks very nice!
I like both the lay out and the decor. And I like that the garage is in that angle, I never get driveways in that angle though :/
As so many people, I really like the lobster wallpaper, I think it's a fun twist :) as is the sushi shower curtain.

    1. I guess I should really get started on this update now, seeing I won't have another lot tour to go this week! I'm glad you liked the house though. I'm excited to play it and see how it goes.

There's some sort of trick to turning the driveways like that but there's also a mod somewhere at MTS which allows you to rotate driveways. I pinned it ages ago but have never tried it. It should be in my TS2 Mods and Hacks board on Pinterest though.

  7. Carla, do you use a camera mod? If so, I can show you how to take pictures in small rooms.

Everything looks fantastic. I should do more lit tours from the LC myself.

    1. Yes, I do use a camera mod but I'm perfectly content with my pictures of small rooms. Thanks anyway.

Glad you liked the house. :) I think more people should put up lot tours, so I would be happy to see you show some of your lots off at LC as well. :)
