Lot tour: Leslie and Dominic's new house

I just thought I'd throw up another lot tour today, because I feel kind of bad for being a little behind on my last two updates! I don't know if anyone noticed except for me but I've been aiming for one update a week this year and I've slipped a bit. Still doing okay on my other goal, which is to reach the end of the year in Sullivan before real life. I'm a couple of months ahead!

Anyway, so this is Leslie and Dominic's new house! I don't know where I downloaded it (I'll check in game and see if there are any clues) but I think it's adorable.  I've done nothing with the backyard, as it's winter and they won't be out there long anyway.

Layout pics. You will notice the spare bedroom on the second floor, completely empty, waiting for a future sprog. They haven't rolled baby wants yet but they're Family sims, so I expect they will.

The kitchen/dining/study area. The brick columns were a feature the builder put in and I was determined to leave them there. Such a cool little feature.

The living room. I thought this room would look weird, as it's very narrow. But I actually like it a lot.

Back to my boring bathrooms, after doing a couple I actually liked lately. But both the bathrooms in this place are so small, there's not much I could do anyway.

Dominic and Leslie's bedroom. The blanket and the curtains are a wee bit old-fashioned than what I'd normally pick for these two but they just seemed to go, so I used them anyway.

Oscar's nursery.

And finally, Stella's nursery.

Hope you enjoyed the tour! As you can see, Leslie and Dominic are ready to go, so it hopefully won't be too long before my next proper update.

  1. Looks great! I totally noticed, I'm used to my weekend read of Sullivan, but I figured you were occupied! :) I think the master bedroom looks fantastic, I always took Leslie as a bit of a traditional decorator with her long braided hair, and occupation. The kitchen and the brick pillars is really great, I love that the island is sandwiched between them. I adore Stella's crib bedding, mind if I can wcif? I've had a rough go getting crib bedding outside of plain colors this time around. Can't wait to see their update, will it be our first time seeing them since the twins were born? I can't remember if we had an infant update with them.

    1. Yeah, the second half of the term got a bit insane. I was playing reliably on Wednesday afternoons/nights and then things got crazy and I thought "oh, THIS is why I don't usually have proper play sessions after work!"

I actually see Leslie as a bit more traditional too, which is why I'm not too fussed about the bedroom. She rolled "modern" as a decorating style, before I really got to know her. It's more wrong every time I look at it, lol! I'm hoping I'll be able to play tomorrow.

No, we didn't have an infant update with the Lachances, so this will be the first time you get to see Dominic and Leslie as parents (in their own home, anyway). I have some ideas jotted down, which is nice. I don't feel quite as lost as I did with the last two updates!

Stella's crib bedding is here. I need some more crib bedding myself, as this particular crib is slaved to the original EA crib, of which I have no recolours! I was in the habit of not bothering, as I'm not very fond of that crib!

    1. Cosy is also correct. :) It's the UK spelling (which we use here in Australia). Glad you like the house!

  4. A beautiful family home! Love the colours and styles, and the mix of styles such as the old-fashioned bedroom and the modern feel of the rest of the house. The breakfast bar between the two brick columns is a great idea!

    1. I don't do well sticking to a theme, so I think most of my houses end up being a bit of a mish-mash of styles anyway! The brick columns are my favourite part of this house. I'll have to see if I can remember to use walls like that in future houses I decorate. I wouldn't have thought of it myself.

  5. This house looks great! I love all the family pictures throughout, totally makes me realize how bare the walls in my houses are!

    1. Glad you like it! I love using wall decor (especially family pics, as you all would know) and I have to restrain myself from putting stuff up on every single bare wall. Actually, now that I'm thinking about it, that might be one of the reasons I'm not so keen on Aaron and Calvin's house. I'll have to look at it again. :)

  7. Just like Maisie I've missed your updates, but again just like Maisie, I just thought you were busy :)

I love the house! It looks nice and inviting, and the style fits them really well.
I love the brick colums, and immidiatly stole the idea for one of my houses :)

    1. Aw, it didn't occur to me you guys would miss my updates that much, lol! I'm planning on playing tomorrow (and a little today), so the update should go up a tad earlier this week than it has been lately. That's the plan, in any case.

Anyway, I'm glad you like the house. I really enjoyed playing Dominic and Leslie in the house, which is always the big test. You have me curious about the columns in the house you mentioned now!
