Two houses to go! I had been counting wrong and thought I had three houses to go right after I did Nick and Sarah's place. No, I had four. :( But now that Sam and Julia's place and now this one are done, I definitely only have two to go. :) So anyway, I thought I'd throw up a tour - this is a very short one!
This is Connor and Lila's place. It was built by Starrsim and is her Yellow Provencal lot. It's no longer yellow at all, unless you count the flowers!
Living/kitchen/dining area.
The study. The bookcase felt a bit random but I actually love it now. Lila has green in her colour scheme (I am using this site to choose colour schemes for all my sims, based on their favourite colours) and I like how it sort of ties the room together.
And the bedroom. The bathrooms are the most boring bathrooms that ever boring-ed, so I've left them out of the tour. One day I might get inspired to do an interesting one again. I was on a roll there for a while!
Hoping to get back into the swing of weekend updates, so I want to play Connor and Lila this week and get a story update out for you soon. :)
This looks a very nice size, and has the right mixture of cozy and modern-stylish. Well, boring bathrooms should mean your Sims finish whatever they have to do in there a lot quicker :-D
ReplyDeleteGlad you like it! It's a good size for Connor and Lila and should be okay for them for the next several years at least. :) Good point about the bathrooms, lol!

I like this house! You always remind me that I need to add personalized photos to my game. One day, I will get there! Pic love design seeds!! That's such a great idea! *steals it* hehe
ReplyDeleteSo happy you like it! If you ever get a chance to do the personalised photos, you won't regret it! It adds so much to a house. Connor and Lila actually don't have too many, as this is the first round they've lived together.
DeleteSteal away! I stole the Design Seeds idea from a TS3er anyway! ;)

Looks great, really excited to see their update when it goes up. They are really cute together, and I like the style of their home, very fitting for them. I can see each of their personalities with Lila and her neat tendencies, and Connor with his brainy ways. The table set is very artistic, I can see Lila loving it. I really like the living and master bedroom, and totally understand boring bathrooms, I'm fifty/fifty on whether I bother making a really nice one or just one that does the job.
ReplyDeleteI'll probably play them later on this week. :) I'm excited to see what they'll be up to as well. I don't think I ever really saw Lila and Connor coming either - not long before they actually got together, anyway!
DeleteGlad you like the house! I definitely imagine that Lila would have picked most of the stuff as it doesn't strike me as something Connor is particularly interested in. He'd be happy to just to have a comfortable home with space for his things, so he's set. ;)
Perhaps I'll be more inspired with bathrooms for the next two houses! I'm super-uninspired with them of late!

I really like the house, and it fits them well :)
ReplyDeleteI like the living/kitchen/dining area, I've never seen those table and chairs before, but they fit in really well.
Just like Ashaland you always remind me that I need to put some effort in filling those empty pictureframes I have in all my houses!
Glad you like the house! You would have seen that dining set in Sophie, Elspeth and Josh's flat but I think I used the dark wood recolours there. :) I've used it a few times. I said this on N99 too but it doesn't go with everything but it works really well once you get it in the right room!

It's as neat as a cupboard and has everything they need! A very cute little house. :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you like it! Thanks for looking and commenting!
DeleteI love the bookshelf too, and I am excited to see what Connor and Lila have been up to!
ReplyDeleteI love when I get to use an object in an interesting colour, so I was glad to fit that bookcase in. I'm in the middle of a play session with Connor and Lila but it's like pulling teeth right now - I'm a bit stumped, though I have a decent start going!

This is a great little cosy house, so perfect for their interests and personality! The kitchen looks nice and efficient, and with Lila being so neat, it won't matter that it shares a room with the living room (I think it does?)
ReplyDeleteI was sure I had commented on this, but guess not.
Maybe you commented at N99? I posted this there too. :)
DeleteBut anyway, glad you like it! The living/kitchen/dining is all open plan, so yes, all one room. I hadn't thought of the kitchen thing with Lila but now that you mention it, my mum has a similar attitude. She's very anti-open plan, because she's a neat freak and the kitchen is just never tidy enough in her eyes, lol!
