I didn’t really care to follow the tradition of the groom not seeing the bride before the wedding but Ione was quite insistent. So the night before, I bunked down in Aurora’s old bedroom.
This is my second year as principal of the local high school. I was happy enough at the primary school but I’ve always wanted to advance. So when the opportunity came up, I had to take it.
Several months after Dad died, I convinced Mum to move in with us. She's retired now and she was on her own and I didn't see any reason why she should have to worry about making ends meet in what is supposed to be a relaxing time in her life.
I can stand up in front of a whole school full of children without the slightest of jitters but speaking in front of adults still makes me incredibly nervous.
This term, we have Pamela's daughter Julia with us as a student teacher. It doesn't seem like so long ago that I was a student teacher but I just realised it was actually 10 years ago!
After Caitlin was born, I put on a little weight and once she started school, I put on a lot more. It finally got to the point where it was bothering me, so I decided to do something about it.
I've really been missing Dad, especially in these last few weeks, with the lead-up to Christmas. This will be our first Christmas without Dad, so I'm going to try my best to make it a merry one though it'll be hard.
