You say it's your birthday, March 2041

Round 35: March 2041 (Autumn)

Hope and Malcolm’s baby is on the way and Hope feels totally unprepared. Not unprepared to be a mother - she’s ready for that - but so far, the baby has nowhere to sleep.

Malcolm is more laid back about it and is insistent they’ll get everything done in time.

Hope isn’t so sure and she’s just a bit nervous looking at Baby Novak’s totally empty nursery! Hope is due in June 2041.

Notes:
  • For my families featured in birthdays who aren't in fully decorated houses yet, I've been decorating just one room for them, that room being whatever one I want to use for the update. So instead of adding some nice nursery things for Baby Novak, I bizarrely decided to download a dining set. So I wrote my idiocy in. ;) Hope and Malcolm are the first family I'm playing after the uni kids (I think), so I'll do the nursery then.

  1. Ah I can see why she's a bit panicked about that! Glad it will be remedied before baby Novak arrives in June. Looking forward to this one being born, and finding out what they have!

    1. Yeah, baby needs somewhere to sleep! And someone's going to have to put together the crib and it's not going to be Hope in her current condition. ;) Or even when she's not pregnant, because I imagine her as a bit of a princess that way!

Can't wait for this baby! We have Rob and Patience's baby to meet before Hope and Malcolm's though. :)

  2. Still plenty of time from March to June - I am sure that little one won't have to sleep on the floor :-)

    1. No, a room will definitely be set up by then! The good thing about having an update scheduled for this family before the baby comes is that I'll do the whole house right before. That's been my routine for this rebuild and it seems to work well.

  3. I can really see Malcolm being sure that everything will be alright by the time the baby comes, while Hope is a little bit stressed about it.

    1. Malcolm is definitely the more laid-back one in the marriage. He's going to have to get a move on to placate Hope though, who is definitely not!

  4. Lol, love that you wrote it in. Do you remember where you got that recolor of the boyfriend blazer? It's adorable

    1. Well, I might as well, I guess! Yes, the boyfriend blazers are by Vimpse. I have Caitlin in a mostly orange version from the same set, which you'll probably see in the next update. :)

  5. I love Hope's outfit. She looks so trendy and lovely. I like how she's sort of worrisome about the baby's nursery and Malcolm is more relaxed about the situation. But I do see why she's worrying, it's March already and June will be here in no time. I can't wait to see their baby - are you hoping for a boy or a girl for them?

    1. I was pretty happy when I realised Hope's outfit had a pregnancy morph! I had a feeling it would and I was glad I was right.

I can sympathise with Hope, myself. I would want the nursery DONE! Malcolm's attitude is more like "how long can it possibly take to buy a crib?" ;)

I'm a bit imbalanced with my gender ratio right now - perfectly even among the 1-year-olds but there aren't many girls with the older toddlers. So I'm crossing my fingers Hope and Malcolm can even out the ratio somewhat and have a girl. :) Also, I really like the girl name I have picked out for them. :)
