You say it's your birthday, December 2032

Round 30: December 2032 (Summer)

Joanna and Rose Draper are both 37.

I've been so excited about the twins' arrival but walking into the hospital, Joanna and I were both a little nervous about it. Giving birth and newborn babies are completely new experiences to us.

Joanna can be so negative sometimes, so I wasn't sure how good she'd be while I was in labour but she was pretty great.

Even if she wasn't, I think Dr. Sitko would have counteracted her nicely. He's so positive and encouraging. If Joanna and I were planning on more kids, we would definitely want to go with him again.

We've agreed though and three kids is perfect for our family.

Now that our sons are here, I definitely feel that all the heartache we went through was worth it. Our family feels complete now.

It took us a while to decide on names but in the end, we named them Levi Daniel and William Oliver.

They're already settling in very nicely at home.

They're lucky to have such a doting big sister! Sylvia is really relishing her new role.

Not long after I came home with the twins, we found out I'm going to be an aunt! Patience is pregnant; she's about 8 weeks along!

She and Rob started trying again in October, after miscarrying in July, and they conceived pretty much right away. She's due next winter and I could not be more thrilled for her!

Notes:
  • Levi and Will both have blonde hair and brown eyes. Wade is carrying a blonde gene from his grandmother Petra, so I was expecting the twins to be blondes. Levi's skin is like Rose's and Will is darker like Wade.
  • Levi and Will bring the total number of babies born this round to 10 (10!!!!). 8 of those babies were boys. I don't think I've ever said this in the history of Sullivan because I've never had such a long streak of boys but could I have some girls soon? LOL.
  • And yay, Patience is pregnant! I was hoping she'd fall pregnant at a convenient time for me, so I could announce it in the December birthdays. :) She's due in July 2033.

  7. Love the boys' names! I'm sure Sylvia will love playing with them and bossing them around when they're older, like big sisters do, lol! ;) (I have two little brothers and I always enjoyed making them do what I said.)

And yay! I can't wait to see Patience's baby!

  8. Flit, well, I was hoping for girls, given how many boys I've had recently but it was not to be!

Fingers crossed Patience and Rob have better luck with this pregnancy than their first.

    Thanks for reading!

Apple Valley, LOL, I was so excited to tell you guys about Patience! I've been waiting for this since before all my uni updates!

    Thanks for reading!

Laurel Crossing, ooh, yeah, Joanna's round the world trip doesn't seem like that long ago to me either! Time flies, eh?

    Thanks for reading!

Riverdale, these are pretty exciting times for the Draper family. Twins from Rose and soon another little baby for Patience!

    Thanks for reading!

Maisie, oh, gosh, I am dreading the thought of what school will be like when these kids all grow up! It's going to be insane! I can't help but be excited about Patience though. :)

    Thanks for reading!

coolkat2, I'm very interested to see what a Wade/Rose mix will look like, so I'll get two opportunities soon, with Levi and Will.

And oh, as far as we know, there's just the one baby for Patience!

    Thanks for reading!

Shana, I'm pretty sure Sylvia is going to enjoy ordering her little brothers around! She's a feisty little thing!

Me either! It's gotta be cute though, a Rob/Patience combination, right?

  9. Ooh, I'm so happy for them! Wow 2 boys, Sylvia will have her hands full :D (and the parents too of course).
I can imagine that you want some girls in Sullivan now. I've been kind of having the same problem at the moment in SimsVile, though it's not 8 yet :)

  10. Aaah, what an update filled with happiness! The twins (I love Joanna and Rose; they're so nice together), and Patience being pregnant again! I hope everything will go right this time.

  11. That's an intense amount of boys! Yay to two more!

  12. Tanja, yes, twin boys would be a handful to say the least! Luckily, they couldn't inherit Joanna's personality so they're likely to be a little more chilled out, like Rose and Wade both are.

Heh, yeah, I don't ever remember having such a boy streak before! I'm hoping to break it with Patience's baby. I can see her with a girl.

    Thanks for reading!

Sandy, I love Joanna and Rose as well. I just realised when I was cleaning up my notes that they've been together for 22 years now! So I'm glad they've been able to complete their family and that Rose will be an aunty soon. :D

    Thanks for reading!

HCove, no kidding, huh? I couldn't believe it when I tallied it all up!

  13. Aww, two little boys. I love their names too! And how exciting that Patience is pregnant, I hope everything goes well this time.

Wow, that's a real boy streak you're having. I think my main problem in the future will be that all my kids will be related to each other! All my families can already be linked to each other so it's going to be crazy.

  14. Yay! Boys! Levi and William. I like :). But wow, I didn’t realize that there were so many boys born! I guess the game is trying to make up for your boy shortage. Better late than never? LOL I really love the dress Rose is wearing in the first pic. I love dresses like that in RL but not on myself lol. And yay for Patience and Rob! And wow, it didn’t even seem like 5 sim months since their update. I guess because I play so slow, 5 sim months would equal about 3 RL months :p. Can’t wait to see Patience with a big belly! *Fingers crossed for her!*

  15. Sari, I'm very nervous for Patience, especially knowing that Sims can lose pregnancies right up until the time they're going to give birth. So I'm trying to take good care of her this time.

All my families can be linked to each other as well but I think you'll find that once you get enough generations in, even just as far as I am, it doesn't really matter. The most distant relationship that the game recognises as family is first cousins, so your families all being linked doesn't have to cause as many problems as you might expect.

    Thanks for reading!

Danielle, I don't think I really realised either, until I did a proper tally. I almost always have boy shortages!

I'll check that dress for you in game. I'm almost positive it's MTS or TSR. I remember doing a search on H&M recolours and that came up.

You'll see Patience with her belly in January birthdays. ;) She's a pretty adorable pregnant Sim, I have to say. ;)

    Thanks for reading!

  16. Twin boys! Goodness.

Aww, I bet David is a great doctor. He's so nice (and handsome, too...).

Yay for Patience! I'm so glad that she and Rob tried again! :)

  17. Rachel, I can't remember if I ever wrote in anything about it but Josie had a little crush on David when he was her supervisor at medical school. And he was much younger then, so I could hardly blame her. ;)

I'm so excited about Patience's baby! I have a bit of organisation to do before I can start the next round but hopefully in the next day or so.

    Thanks for reading!
