The Jacobsons
Miles and Matilda tried for a baby while I was doing this pic - no dice but I'm not expecting much from them. She's 39 already.

My smallest "big" portrait! I forgot that I really didn't need anyone else in this pic apart from Ramona but seeing I was already on the lot, I went ahead and took it anyway.

- April birthdays is almost ready! I just have to play out Nick and Sarah's mini-update.
How fun to see the extended families together! Loved the pictures!
ReplyDeleteGlad you liked them! I was very happy with how they turned out. :)

Hi Carla,
ReplyDeleteI'm currently reading Round 7 of Sullivan, and boy this hood has come a long way. Such beautiful families.
Wow, Round 7! I don't think a single one of these sims was around yet in Round 7! Glad you liked the pictures. :)

These look great! Really good idea, getting together the extended families like this.
ReplyDeleteThey must have taken forever, though... one of the delays with my blog at the moment is that I have to redo everyone's portraits for the new game. I can't imagine doing big extended family ones like this for everyone... I think I'll stick to my pick-one-family-at-Christmas routine :)
Well, I got them all done in about a week, doing at least two a day. They're a bit tedious but they don't take me too long at this point. Still wouldn't want to do them more often than I already do though. ;)

All of these sims!!! Wow. What a neat collection of portraits to have for your records and history though! I sometimes have fantasies about doing something like this for my families, then I promptly don't do it, lol! I like Blackcat's idea about one family a year at certain holidays. I could maybe attempt that. But posing capabilities in TS4 are awful compared to TS2.
ReplyDeleteGlad you like them! I have no idea about posing in TS4 but I know I didn't enjoy it in TS3. I did one set of wedding pictures and never touched poses again. It didn't have the freedom we have with TS2, which I just found frustrating. :( I did like the pose player as a way to store all your poses together...though I'm not sure if that would have become a little cumbersome if I'd stuck with it for any longer!
DeleteJust glad it's so easy and satisfying in TS2!
Thanks for reading and commenting!
Carla, it really is amazing how many full extended families you have in Sullivan and these portraits are really impressive.
ReplyDeleteIt's kind of astonishing seeing them all together, even to me, lol! Glad you like them. :)

Didn't you forget Chris in the Drapers picture ?
ReplyDeleteDamn, yes, I did! Thanks for pointing it out - I would have been really annoyed to realise it after I framed it and hung it up in the family's house!
DeleteWow, these are awesome! Love seeing the portraits shots of all your families anyway but this is very cool to see them ALL together. There are some big families in there. The Drapers and the Kirbys, oh my! ;)
ReplyDeleteThis must have taken you a while to set up? You've got some great poses for these types of shots, I always struggle and end up using the same for each family.
Thanks, I love how they turned out. A bit bummed I'm going to have to redo the Draper one though! I would have to forget someone from one of the bigger portraits, of course!
DeleteThey probably don't take as long to set up as you might imagine. I have a pretty good idea of what poses I have and which of them work well for group shots. From what I've seen of TS3 poses though, they seem to have a lot that are great for story shots but not as many that are good for family portraits. Kind of the opposite of TS2! I could be wrong though, as I didn't delve too deeply into posing in TS3. I didn't enjoy it as much.

This is great! I love having all these family portraits on one page, it's really fun to look through. Bummer on forgetting someone, it's really easy to do on the big families, which are the biggest pain to redo!
ReplyDeleteSigh, I know! I still haven't redone the Draper one! Maybe I'll do that to ease myself back into my hood in the new year. After doing that, playing a regular session will be a nice change of pace!
