Lot tour: Daniel and Susannah's new place

I wanted to get another story update out this weekend but then I realised that a) this weekend was Christmas and I wouldn't get the time and b) a lot of you would probably be busy as well! So instead, I've got this lot tour for you today and another coming up hopefully in a few days.

As those of you who are caught up would know, Daniel and Susannah got married recently. They're keen to have a baby but for that, they needed more space. I found this house for them and then proceeded to spend basically all their money decorating it. They have just $313 left!

The new house is this one from MTS.

Excuse the visible build catalog! This is the last time you'll see it. Please note the empty bedrooms - can't wait to fill those with babies!

I'm trying to continue my more recent thing of bringing some furniture from the old place to the new one. So they have the same couch, as well as some other bits and pieces throughout the house.

Susannah, being a chef, is very excited about the massive kitchen! Her last one was pretty small.

Zac's bedroom.

The upstairs hallway/landing/whatever you want to call it was already decorated as a second living space, so I just went with it and filled in my own stuff.

Don't mind the empty frames, by the way! I haven't done their wedding pics yet!

Susannah and Daniel's bedroom. I think I'm still working on loving the pattern clashing going on here! But I do like it and don't think I'll change it.

The bathrooms are roughly identical but here's one of them.

And here's where I ran out of money! After I did the pool, there was not a ton of money left for the patio, so there's not even any lighting out here. No evening barbecues for the Halmi-Whitney family!

  1. Wow it's actually quite spacious inside and out. From the front it looks quite small. Lots of empty rooms for more babies. :o Nicely decorated though and I love the wall paper pattern in the main bedroom. Looks super stylish! ;) Loving the dining room too. I think my favorite rooms in sims homes are always dining rooms. Pool looks awesome too!

    1. When I loaded the lot, it honestly looked like more space than I knew what to do with! I'm happy with how it turned out though and super happy with the pool - not a lot of my sims have pools. :)

  2. It's a comfortable family home, and I am sure you'll fill it with babies in no time :-)
I love the desk and shelf above it in the downstairs living room, and the pattern-clashing master bedroom!

    1. Glad you like the pattern-clashing - it can work sometimes! And hey, who am I to say no to sims who want babies? ;)

  3. The bathroom is really nice- not the typical standard looking bathroom. I like the exposed radiator and the red wall. It was nice to see the floorplan, and I really like that there's a bedroom that could be used for a nursery on the ground floor. To me, gameplay is much smoother with a toddler with a ground floor nursery, since it eliminates having to carry them up and down the steps. And that is a big kitchen, perfect for a chef!

    1. Yes, that's very true about ground floor nurseries - not that I ever think of it when I'm decorating, lol! That empty bedroom downstairs will definitely be saved for baby though.

I'm sure Susannah has been jealous of Sarah's huge kitchen all these years and now she'll have one of her own. :)

  4. Gorgeous house! I really like their bedroom and the wallpaper on the wall, the patterns are really nice together. So much room, I can't wait to see them expand and how their genetics blend. Zac is going to have siblings at every house in the future! The pool is great especially for all the kids.

    1. I have a feeling Susannah and Daniel's place might end up a frequent gathering spot for the family with that pool! I am geekily excited about the genetic blending as well. I'm hanging out for a kid who looks like Susannah. :)

  5. Lots of room for their family to grow! Perfect! How many babies do you think they'll end up with?

I love the red and gray combo in the bathroom! And the great big outdoor space, too.

    1. Oooh, I'm not sure yet! I'd like them to have at least two but Susannah will be 35 next time I play here, so it'll depend on whether her fertility cooperates. She and Daniel both want five but I don't think that will happen. I only let nutjobs like her sister have five. ;)
