The staircase looks a little more out of place in game. Still workable enough that I'm not desperate to find a replacement, though I'd certainly download one if I found it!

The red front door was Tanja's choice and I'm glad it was. It wasn't one I would have chosen either (my tendency is towards matchiness, so I probably would have gone with white) but I'm glad she picked it. I think it really works!

Thanks for reading and commenting!Carlahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09140819019098738245noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3968444616198803470.post-40247825913089863732016-06-01T09:40:56.293+10:002016-06-01T09:40:56.293+10:00Everything looks wonderful, completely consistent ...Everything looks wonderful, completely consistent style, lovely details (the table lighting you pointed out), and the open second floor is so eye catching. I don't use that staircase much so never noticed the countrified textures but it doesn't show much in the shot you used. I wouldn't have thought that red front door would work but it sure does!S.B.https://www.blogger.com/profile/15236399168777815648noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3968444616198803470.post-83822425823482231772016-05-29T09:29:35.280+10:002016-05-29T09:29:35.280+10:00Glad you like it! The woods are so soft and elegant here that they really add a great vibe. I like the plants that you used too, the topiary is really a great touch. maisiehttp://www.retromaisie.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3968444616198803470.post-30366876407327537612016-05-22T08:50:19.817+10:002016-05-22T08:50:19.817+10:00Glad you like it! Generally, I prefer gutting someone else's lot and changing it to suit my purposes. :)

Thanks for reading and commenting!Carlahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09140819019098738245noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3968444616198803470.post-5609486192133876382016-05-18T12:40:50.079+10:002016-05-18T12:40:50.079+10:00Looks wonderful! :) Your community lots always mak...Looks wonderful! :) Your community lots always make me feel inspired to create my own but alas that is not one of my strong points-building & decorating com lots. lolJenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04261344314447423273noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3968444616198803470.post-80348410969367158332016-05-16T22:30:28.785+10:002016-05-16T22:30:28.785+10:00Thanks for the compliments, Shannon! Tanja managed to include all the major features from The Claudette 1.0 in this place, so it almost feels as if I never lost the lot in the first place.

I took the last three pics after toggling to night, so you can get a sense of what it looks like "by candlelight". Not exactly though, as I have wall lights, table lights and ceiling lights - I like my lots to be well-lit!

Yes, Sophie Gentry (formerly Gottlieb) owns this place now. Adam passed it down to her when he died, as was always the plan. He was glad to have a granddaughter who also had a passion for cooking, as neither of his kids were interested in owning a restaurant!

Thanks for reading and commenting!Carlahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09140819019098738245noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3968444616198803470.post-73392459075154556472016-05-16T22:24:38.484+10:002016-05-16T22:24:38.484+10:00I'm pleased to hear you like it - thanks again...I'm pleased to hear you like it - thanks again for providing me with such a great canvas to work with. :)

You should definitely add this place to Linfort. Honestly, I don't worry too much about toilet traffic jams. If they happen, I tend to just delete the offending sim or just pick them up and move them out of the way. Or I just make use of a motives cheat and let the NPCs do what they will with the toilets. ;)

Thanks for reading and commenting!Carlahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09140819019098738245noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3968444616198803470.post-62923606441001265082016-05-16T22:14:54.596+10:002016-05-16T22:14:54.596+10:00I was so happy with the job Tanja did recreating i...I was so happy with the job Tanja did recreating it and finally being able to put my own little spin on the indoors was a lot of fun. :)

Oh, are you getting a restaurants pack for TS4? The dark panelling is so pretty and I bet it looks gorgeous in the candlelight. I didn't know that trick about the lights and OMSPs, good to know! It's going to be fun seeing your sims dine at the Claudette! The kitchen is also so realistically interesting looking. Do you have a sim in mind to own it or will it be community owned? How neat that you and Tanja worked together to recreate and decorate this!

I can't wait to get our restaurants pack for TS4.
