Lot tour: The Nott house

In game, Lia has already had her baby, so while I was on her lot, I thought I'd take some pictures and do another lot tour. :)

The Nott family live at 11 Suffolk Avenue, just a couple of blocks away from the commercial district in the centre of town.

I didn't build this lot, which is why the layout is so good, lol! This is the first floor...

...and this is the second.

The front door, giving you a peek into the most I'm going to show you of the hallway - there's really not much there except a few family photos.

The living room, which seems like it's going to be quite squishy for a family of six! But Annabel and Georgina will likely be off to college before Baby #4 is making much use of the sofa.

The bathroom. Yawn, let's move on.

The kitchen/dining area, with stairs leading up to the second floor.

But we'll go upstairs a little later and instead visit Gabriel's room first. I think his favourite colour is yellow but his room ended up mostly green anyway.

Lia and Gordon's room.

Seeing the house has only four bedrooms, Baby #4 will be bunking in with Mum and Dad for a while. ;)

Georgina's very green bedroom...

...and twin sister Annabel's very yellow bedroom.

Until today, the backyard was almost completely empty but I took the opportunity to add a little vegetable patch for Gordon, Annabel and Gabriel (the resident Nature Sims) to tend.

A swing set and a nice, quiet area to sit in the shade.

And a little flower patch in the side yard.

  1. Such a tease, showing us the baby with no information :P Seriously, adore the house, it's perfect.

    1. It shouldn't be too long until April birthdays, so sit tight! ;) Thanks for the compliments on the house!

  2. Such a cute house and I always love your family portraits. Are you using the regular photo frames? The look bigger than maxis. I admire how you seem to keep going on with Sullivan - I've never managed to pass a generation before I get bored or get frustrated with game crashes.

    1. Glad you liked the tour!

Some of the frames in the house are the Maxis ones but the ones you're probably referring to are these. I've made a ton of recolours of them and if you look in the background of my more recent posts, you'll see many of them up on the walls.

I made a concerted effort to not get bored with this hood because I've definitely done that in the past! So far, it's working. Blogging helps keep me interested, which I wish I had discovered sooner. I have multiple back-ups of the hood too, just in case anything goes wrong. Back-ups have saved this hood at least three times so far. :)

      Thanks for looking!

  3. I love this house! And I can't wait to see the new baby Nott as well.. My favourite rooms are the girls rooms I just love the way they look. A quick question: I noticed that the grass terrain is the same throughout your neighbourhood and was wondering which one it was I love it! Thanks

    1. Baby Nott's birthday update is already written up but I need to finish Hope and Malcolm's update first, which I'm sort of stuck on. Once I get that done, there'll be zero delay with the birthdays. :)

I like the girls' rooms the most too. They had the advantage of having more money in the family, so I was able to decorate without worrying too much about the cost. For a long time, all anyone had in their bedrooms was a bed!

Yes, I use this default grass replacement. I sometimes forget that's not what the grass looks like normally!

      Thanks for looking!

  4. I have the same house in my hood, and seeing yours I'm tempted to post a tour of the one I have and compare them :) Mine looks so different!

Anyway, I love that the girls' rooms are so spacious, and they are so nicely decorated as well.
I like Gabriel's room as well, so boyish and still colorfull.

I love the garden fence :)

Ah well, I love the entire house! :)

    1. I'd love to see what you did with this house, so I hope you do post a tour when you get the time. :)

All of the bedrooms are very spacious, which is more of a selling point now than back when I downloaded this house. Back then, Lia and Gordon didn't have much money, so it felt like too much space to fill, lol!

I'm very happy with the house now that it's complete, so I'm glad you like it too. :)

      Thanks for reading!

  5. So cute! Perfect for them (and rooming the baby in with them seems very realistic--a five-bedroom house would have been far too large for a family that will lose two inhabitants to college soon. :)

    1. Glad you like it! And yes, I think of Lia and Gordon's family as middle class, so a five bedroom house they'll only need for a few years isn't really something that would be in their budget.

      Thanks for looking!

  6. This is the perfect house for Lia, it just screams her, nice and orderly, and just decorated how she would. I think even the kids' bedrooms have the undertones of Lia, as if she said, "Go wild... but not too wild." The backyard is really nice little area for the kids to play in. How crazy that the girls will be off to college when the new one is big enough for the sofa!

    1. Thanks, I'm glad you think it suits the family! LOL, yes, I can imagine Lia saying that! I imagine she's very strict about the kids keeping their rooms neat too (which would be a challenge, because they take after their father in that arena).

I know, I guess that's what happens with later-in-life babies sometimes! There'll be a definite gender imbalance by that time too, I've just realised: just Lia and her three boys.

      Thanks for looking!

    1. I love patterned wallpapers, as you can see! And a worrier like Lia would need a calm and peaceful bedroom, just so she doesn't stay up all night freaking out about things. ;)

      Thanks for looking!
